Why not?

I know what you mean. A national selection represents a lot of work and seeing very few votes is quite a pity when you see that other selection receive 20+ votes. I'm pretty worried myself when I see the beginning of my selection for San Marino... I hate to do that but I'm going to send a reminder because I can't validate votes with so few participants.

BUT I learnt a lot from my experience of edition #38. I wasn't supposed to compete and I received a wild card at the last minute. I had no time for a national selection. My first choice has been rejected because the song had already been used in a NVSC edition. Then I sent Violetta Zironi and it was a complete disaster with huge consequences: my song of edition #39 had to go through the quarter final. It was such a trauma that I will do anything I can in order to avoid this lottery in future editions. For me, making a national selection in IMF is not an option, but a survival rule.

I also know that having enough votes is important. I had a very very very very very very very bad surprise in NNMC 16 when the song that had been chosen by voters finished last of its semi-final. So if you make a national selection, I'll participate (if I'm not overwhelmed by work like I was in previous weeks).
