QUARTER-FINALS  Welcome back for the quarter-finals! 24 songs were in competition, but only 8 are remaining. We have had a lot of emotions for the second round with four ties out of seven battles. We hope it won't happen again (and the more we will have votes, the best it will be) but if one or several ties occurs, we should have enough time to find a solution.
Tonight, we will begin with a group of Italian Youtubers, who make sketches about the differences between South and North in Italy. They decided to record their own version of several summer hits. There might be little changes in the lyrics, because I don't remember that the original versions had something to do with the behaviour of Northern Italians in restaurants, marriages or a trip in a car by a hot day with children... By the way, let's (re)discover these songs!

It's time now to discover the draws for our quarter-finals. We remind you that the three songs that won their battles of the second round are protected and won't be drawn against each other. Our first direct qualifier was Gaia with "Fotogramas".
Her adversary will be Juel with "Dormi bene".
The second quarter-final will be an opposition between Simonetta Spiri ("Il tempo di reagire")...
...and Jessie James Decker with "Shout out the lights".
The third quarter-final will involve Luana and Romina Falconi ("Lucille")...

RESULTS OF THE QUARTER-FINALS
This time, we don't need to give any wild card or such of thing, because we have winners for the four quarter-finals. All of them won their battles by the same score: 6-3. Let's have a look on the surviving songs:
As you noticed, the main contest seem to be delayed. Giulia Luzi is still waiting her results in the first semi-final. We decided to slow down our national selection. Here is the new previsional calendar - it may still evolve in the future:
Semi-finals: Friday 22. September - Monday 2. October
Final: Friday 6. October - Monday 16. October
We can also announce that our pre-selection for edition #41 is ready and that we are now working of the selection for edition#42. We decided to enlarge the size of "normal selections". We will have 20 songs per edition (16 recent songs [in the case of edition 41, they were released between June and September] and 4 older). We also found a solution in order to avoid draws in the battles.
So the semi-finals of our selection will begin in a few days. SEMI-FINALS We are back for the semi-finals! Just hope that the main contest will be unlocked very soon because we are impatient to know the final result. Before launching the semi-finals, we are going to listen to a young singer, Eleonora Viaggi. She is going to sing "Ti porto a cena con me" by Giusy Ferreri. Oh and by the way, Giusy just had a baby a few days ago! Congratulations to her!
