According to an article I read this is how the songs will be chosen:
1. Like always people can submit a song on that website. Deadline 22nd September (in around 2 weeks from now) 2. A jury panel will then choose the (most likely) 6 best ones and then look for the vocalists.
That's because it was mentioned that in the previous years "we either lost great songs because the voice wasn't strong enough or we lost a great voice because of the weak song".
3. They will then be presented in a live show on 4 February 2018 and the winner decided 50-50 by the televoting and an international jury (which I got no idea when the members will be revealed).
And if I understood it correctly there won't be a live check anymore.

That's a new record and impressing me a lot. And even more considering the fact how many people think we should withdraw for good. [/div]

That's a new record and impressing me a lot. And even more considering the fact how many people think we should withdraw for good. Considering that you guys only got around, what, 120? submissions last year, this really made me excited to see what Switzerland's got in store for the 2018th edition.

That's a new record and impressing me a lot. And even more considering the fact how many people think we should withdraw for good. Considering that you guys only got around, what, 120? submissions last year I've never really seen any official figures for that, but I remember to have once seen something like 227 submissions a few years ago. If that's happened in other years too it's a very sharp rise indeed. That's a new record and impressing me a lot. And even more considering the fact how many people think we should withdraw for good. This really made me excited to see what Switzerland's got in store for the 2018th edition. Same actually. And I mean we've already selected the best one every year (except 2015), but it was just not as appreciated as it should.

I know everybody already. At least their name. I may post something tonight. It may help that they just presented them on the radio right now.

I'm doing this in the same order as the songs were posted.
ZiBBZ ZiBBZ is a duo consisting of the siblings Corinne (Coco), 31, and Stefan (Stee), 29, Gfeller from the canton of Aargau, but nowadays living partly also in Los Angeles. They first went to the spotlight in early 2011 when they got their own reality show on a TV-channel called Joiz (which doesn't exist anymore). In 2013 they released their debut album called "Ready? Go" which peaked at #14 followed by "It takes a village" in September 2017 which went to #11. Following the debut I remember to have heard this song a lot on the radio. However I still know them rather because of some interviews (which I found confusing for some reason I don't remember lol) than hearing a lot of music of them.Angie OttAngie, 27, from the Canton of Neuchâtel is known for having participated at the first season of The Voice of Switzerland back in 2013 where she made it all the way to the final and ending up in second-place (she was my favourite there btw. ). Since then we've never heard of hers again. If you're interested this was her blind audition. During the show Angie was known as a very shy girl and in almost all performances she also used her piano a bit as a bastion to hide behind. However in the first live show she was told to go on stage without it (another link for you btw.) and afterwards in an online poll around 80% of the people said she's done a fabulous job.NaemanNaeman, 23, is from the canton of Thurgau and nowadays living in Zurich. After singing in the streets for some time he already took part in DSDS (German Idol) as well as Die grössten Schweizer Talente (Switzerland's got talent). I can remember hearing this song quite a few times on the radio.
Chiara DubeyChiara, 24, from Ticino is the probably best one in the forum as she was in already two finals of our preselections. In December 2011 with Anima Nuova and in December 2012 with Bella Sera finishing in 3rd and 5th place respectively. Alejandro Reyes
Alejandro, 26, was born in Chile and came to Switzerland when he was 10 years old. He's nowadays living in Lausanne. That's basically what I have in mind about him right now. Vanessa Iraci
Vanessa is 32 years old and a German-Swiss artist with Italian roots. She's best known for her participations at The Voice of Switzerland in 2014 ( Her blind audition) as well as in Germany in 2016 ( Also her blind audition.)

Here's my first impression: 1. Alejandro Reyes - "Compass" (5/10) 2. Zibbz - "Stones" (5/10) 3. Vanessa Iraci - "Redlights" (4/10) 4. Chiara Dubey - "Secrets and Lies" (3/10) 5. Angie Ott - "A Thousand Times" (2/10) 6. Naeman - "Kiss Me" (1/10)
