Welcome everybody!

Here in this thread you can discuss everything about our 57th Edition in

Guatemala City!

The submissions officially start now, Deadline: 8th of October

The rules of the last edition apply, here they are:

IMPORTANT: Confirming isn't enough, just a submitted song guarantees your place in the upcoming edition! Only the first 48 spots are safe, the people submitting afterwards will take part in a Pre-Qualification Round and compete for the 3 remaining spots, making it a field of 51 in the "main competition"!
(information about that round will follow once the submissions are closed)

Already reserved are the hosts, the Top 3 from last edition and those who voted as members in the Rest of The World Jury last edition. If any of these fail to submit an entry in time, he/she will lose the secured place.

We're looking forward to receiving your entries!

Please let us know if you want to withdraw so you don't get tagged anymore. Last time we had 52 participants.

Irish entry!

For this edition we will be going back to the Irish language. This may be a strange choice but honestly, this song grew on me and I actually find it beautiful.

So this song is from the movie Song of the Sea which was a co-production between

Ireland,

Belgium,

Denmark,

France and

Luxembourg. In

Ireland, there was an Irish version made and it was a success.

Lisa Hannigan sings the main song here, and she is not new to the WWWSC scene as she represented

Ireland in WWW Song Contest #28 in

France with the song "Knots".

So here is our entry: "Amhrán na Farraige"

I have waited for this song for over 2 years.
The first time I heard it was at the concert 1st of August 2015, and it was only released recently.
Because if this, the winner of the National Selection SSoA #11 will participate in edition #58 instead.
