 MOLDOVA TO DEBUT
Moldova makes its debut in the contest.
The band  ExNN will be the country's first representative.
The name of the group comes from the latin proverb Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit, which means Nothing is created from nothing.
They will perform the song in russian language, "Vnutri" (tr: Inside).

 THE FRENCH SONG A very long time ago, France used to have some success in this contest. In order to break the series of unsuccessful entries, we decided to send a singer from Corsica, the same region than the last French winner. The French song will be "Le souvenir de ce jour" (Remembering that day - 2004) by Jenifer Bartoli.Timeslot: 2:21.

I realized that I haven't sent any female artists in a while so now I decided to bring a duo. It was my original intention to send it last time already, but then I found the other one.
The few people who were on TT last night know it already.
Without much more talking representing Switzerland is
DJ Tatana & Jaël - Always on my mind
Another reason of mine taking part again is that I recently found out that apart from #1 I wasn't in any other opening editions of any decade.
A short something about the two girls:
I don't know how much I still have to say about Jaël as she was the singer of the band Lunik you may actually know.
Tatana was one of our most successful artists of the early 2000s - until she had a burnout. The last time she reached the charts was in 2008 (singles) and 2011 (album) respectively.
Always on my mind is one of her more successful songs. In 2004 it peaked at #6 for two weeks and spent a total of 13 weeks in the top 100.

 Slovenian entry for the first edition of the 5th decade is: Čuki - Ferrari PolkaČuki (the band name is a type of owl - Athene Noctua) is a band that started in 1989, but made their name in the 90s. They still make music nowadays. Until now I have not sent them in any contest (not for any particular reason), so the time is nigh.
