NEWS FROM UKRAINE Finally, there are news from the Ukrainian delegation!
They can officially confirm that they will be present again in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest held in  Austria!
Due to ongoing time issues, there won't be any national selection to select the next entry.
Instead, the Ukrainian HoD decided to choose the successor of The Erised again internally.
The Erised failed to qualify from the semifinal in Stockholm (NVSC #23), placing 14th with 99 points.
There might be hints coming the next days so that you can start guessing. However that is not confirmed yet.
But there is something sure: the revelation is planned the end of December, maybe even the beginning of January.
An exact date is not known.

Austrian entry to be revealed on January 1st!Vienna, 2nd December: On a press conference in the ORF headquarters, the Austrian Head of Delegation, Julian Marc, announced that the Austrian entry is going to be revealed on the first of January. It was previously revealed, that ORF is opting for an internal selection for the second time in a row.  In the last weeks the broadcaster has discussed the revelation date for our entry again and again and today we finally agreed on having it on January 1st. That way, 2018's very first Northvision song will be our host entry, a song that is absolutely worthy of opening another great Northvision year. We can assure, that it will bring charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to the contest and will perfectly represent our wonderful nation. Only one month to go!
Before that, the theme art and host city revelation is coming up on the 11th of December and we already can't wait for that. Stay tuned!

 TVR confirms that a national selection will be held to select the Romanian entry for the twenty-fourth edition of North Vision Song Contest. TVR will allow users to submit song for the selection after which the broadcaster will select 5 songs that will compete for the ticket to Austria. The submission period will start soon. POSSIBLE WITHDRAW
Today, ERR has issued a statement stating that  Estonia will most likely withdraw from the 24th edition of NVSC due to the unexpected poor result of the country in  Stockholm. Placing only 16th in the semi-final, the nation would have to go through the PQR first.
The final decision will be made during the following weeks. |
