Unser Song für Österreich to determine the next German entrant
Hamburg, Germany - NDR can now reveal that 'Unser Song für Österreich' will be used to select the German entrant for the forthcoming contest set to take place in Austria. In a official statement, NDR reflects criticism by fans unhappy with the voting process and results of the previous edition, leaving Inês Brasil in second place. "Our new format will give each act their opportunity to win the ticket." Further information will be revealed as soon as all details regarding the selection are finalized.

After the results of the 23rd edition, it’s now known that Algeria will (more likely) have to compete in the pre-qualification round.
The act will be selected internally and it is an  Algerian –  Canadian singer.
The entry will be announced in due time. |

  The Netherlands will compete in Austria!
In a press release, it has been declared that after the nations 18th placing in NVSC #23 that AVROTROS will continue to participate!
It was also announced that NoordVisie Song Festival will continue for its 6th edition to be the preselection for the Dutch act.
More details to be announced in the near future! |

 TVR confirms that Romania will participate in the upcoming 24th edition of North Vision Song Contest to be held in  Austria. The method of selection will most likely be internal depending on the amount and the quality of the songs received. |

 LITHUANIA TO PARTICIPATE LRT, the Lithuanian national broadcaster has held a press conference today regarding the upcoming 24th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. It was confirmed that despite a disappointing result in the semi-final of the 23rd edition and an invitation to take part in the Pre-Qualification Round, the nation will keep on participating in the event. The broadcaster has opened applications for Northvizijos, which will serve as the national final for the sixth time. More information to be revealed in due course! |

After being silent last edition, RTÉ confirms announced that  Ireland will not return to the North Vision Song Contest 24 ,under a new head of the delegation. The country was forced to withdraw last edition for not confirming before the deadline. This is due to some internal scandals which lead to the retreat of the previous administration.
The new selected head of the delegation, Michael O’Connor, said that he will do his best to take care of Ireland’s faith in the contest. Also it was confirmed that the entry for the next edition will be selected internally. A return is very likely next edition, but for now, due to internal organizational problems, the country will stay out for one more edition. The contest will still be broadcasted.
That means that I am now officially out as HoD of Algeria. Thank you once again for the great times and for liking (or disliking) my entries. I hope to do at least as good with my new country and wish the best of luck to my successor. This also means that despite confirming before, Algeria is now withdrawing until a new HoD is found.

MG the council decided yesterday that all draw winners (except Andreas because he's AQ) and new participants have to take a break in #24 and return next edition
