TRT has just confirmed this evening that they would continue participating in the contest.
Our entry will be selected internally, and we will be looking towards more unknown names to enter into the contest.

CANBERRA - SBS have been in a meeting this evening about our future in the contest and what we should do next.
We have came to an executive decision this evening to formally announce that Australia will be present in IMF 40.
It is most likely to be an internal selection.

After Marco's successful qualification in the previous edition,  Italy confirms. I just found two songs I like (you probably not  ) so there's probably going to be a poll.  Do I have to send NS songs for approval? |

 Moldova confirms!Today, Olesea and Elena Croitoru, the Moldovan HoD sisters confirmed that the country will take part in International Music Festival #40 and the method of selection will be internal. This is the rumoured singer who was chosen to represent Moldova!

  Austria reconfirms its participation!
After failing to qualify for five consecutive editions from #33 to #37,
Austria qualified and placed 12th in #38. The 39th contest saw Austria
qualify once again, which was a big success considering the past results.
As a result, ORF confirmed their participation for the 40th contest today.
It was also revealed that Austria's Got Talent would return for an 8th edition.
Around 10 songs are expected to qualify from an international audition stage. |

Eventhough several months ago the financial future didn't look bright, these past few months were good for HRT to consolide their finances. That means that Croatian broadcaster will participate in the upcoming edition of IMF. The method of selection is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more informations, until then pray for Severina's qualification. |
