 RÚV CONFIRMS ICELANDIC PARTICIPATION!
Ríkisútvarpið, (RÚV) the Icelandic broadcaster, has just confirmed this evening that Iceland would be participating in the 25th edition of North Vision Song Contest.
After Silja Rós successfully qualified to the grand final of the 24th edition, there was no question about Iceland's participation. The country has not been in a final since the 19th edition, where Sylvia Erla represented the country with Gone. Returning under a new HoD, Hildur failed to qualify to the final last edition.
The HoD of Iceland, Dýri Brjánsson, and his co-HoD Jós Allísson, were on RÚV this evening. The HoD gave this statement;
Of course, there was absolutely no doubt that, after our current participant Silja qualifying to the grand final, Iceland would be participating in the 25th edition of the contest. There is no reason to withdraw from the contest, and we have no intentions to for the near future. The viewing figures says all - there has been a huge increase in interest since our return in the 23rd edition, and that is not going to change right now.
This ultimately confirmed that Iceland would be certainly participating in the 25th edition of the contest.
When asked about how the Icelandic entry would be selected, the HoD stated that;
Of course, we will definitely consider another national selection, whether that be our current Söngvakeppnin format or an entirely new one. Or who knows.. could we even select internally? You'll just have to wait!"
No more news is available at this stage. However, RÚV will reveal more updates with regards to the 25th edition in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned!

  LEBANON CONFIRMS FOR NVSC #25.
BEIRUT, 10 FEBRUARY 2018.
The HoD of Lebanon has just confirmed via it's twitter account that the Arabic Nation,
which qualified for the first time in final since the 20th edition, that Lebanon will be participating in the NorthVision Song Contest #25,
independently of the results of Nelly Makdessy in the final.
"Sadly, the odds seems to not be in our favor, but well, we managed to bring back
Lebanon to the final, and for us, this is already a victory,
let's hoping this will continue with the upcoming edition",
said the HoD to some website dedicated to the contest.
However, this may be noted, but the delegations have already some plans ready for NVSC #25,
and the HoD itself confirmed it, Lebanon will be choosed their entry internally.
The main reason cited is the low viewing rates of the selection -only 750.000 viewers
watched the selection-which did not bring any popularity within the selection of the song.
However, A Song for Lebanon may not be dead, since
the delegation is currently working on a return for the 26th edition.
"We've taken this decision after a bunch of artists which submitted amazing songs for joining our selection in NVSC #24, but were not selected as participants in the end, and to give more chance to everyone, and to have the best act representing Lebanon, in the biggest musical contest of Europe".
The Lebanese entry is expected to be revealed in Mid-March 2018.
But before, LBC will start asking the fans of the contest what kind of artist, what kind of songs, and what kind of anything related to the Lebanese participation they want to see in NVSC, and it will be started by today afternoon, the 10th of February. Germany confirms participation
Hamburg, Germany - NDR can confirm that Germany will be present at the upcoming North Vision Song Contest. Following the recent non-qualification, marking the first edition for Germany to miss the final since the 10th edition, the broadcaster is coming up with a brand-new format, set to be held each edition. The selection will put emphasis on new artists presenting their different styles to both national and international expert juries.
 Unser Song für den NVSC 25Germany's upcoming entry - in cooperation with OGAN Germany - will be chosen through 'Unser Song für den NVSC 25'. While the selections' name has been used before, it is a premiere for the renewed selection process to select the next entrant.
The selection features three familiar faces as part of the German judge panel:

RTÉ has just confirmed that  Ireland will finally return to the North Vision Song Contest 25, after being absent in the last two editions.
A new journey for Ireland is going to start. During last weeks, various rumors were spread about the method of the selection. Michael O'Connor, the new head of the delegation, has confirmed today that a National Selection will be held, in order to select the best candidate to represent the country.
The new national selection will be called "Emerald Festival". The submissions are opened for artists from both Ireland and  Northern Ireland. More information regarding the selection, the line-up and the songs will be revealed on a later date.

North Vision Song Contest 25. Also the broadcaster announced the method of selection. 
English language, while the rest are all in 
Albanian. Also announced that between those acts there's an international wildcard which was held from the citizens outside of the country.
Austria officially confirms its participation!
Of course Austria won't withdraw just an edition after hosting. The great experiences as a host of the 24th edition in Vienna just increased the country's interest in the contest and we have no plans whatsoever to withdraw any time soon. In fact, we are even more ambitious regarding our future participation. For #25, we will opt for an internal selection for the third time in a row. The artist and song have already been chosen and we can't wait to reveal our next hopeful entry. Stay tuned!
