It's Vendredi sur Mer for Switzerland!

SRG SSR and their Francophone RTS branch have approved of and endorsed the delegation's proposed entrant for Casablanca - Vendredi sur Mer - as well as her entry.
Charline Mignot, a native of Geneva, goes under the alias Vendredi sur Mer which translates to Friday at Sea in English. In recent years, Mignot has turned out to be a flag-bearer for the underground Swiss music scene, with her music often resembling mellow tinges of electronic and disco, overlapped with sensual dialogue compared to that of legendary chanteuses Jane Birkin and Françoise Hardy.
The Swiss head of delegation had this to say about Vendredi sur Mer's selection tonight:
"This is an entry chosen with care and pride in mind. We certainly acknowledge that sending a song like this is daring and somewhat unconventional as well, but in the early days of the contest, sending your run-of-the-mill pop song was just as daring too. You had no idea if that genre of song would do well, just as we have no idea if this one will - but the potential is still there, and with this song, the potential has never been more present. I am confident that Switzerland will be proud regardless of where we end up this time."
The entry itself was approved by the North Broadcasting Union earlier this month. It is Vendredi sur Mer's most recognisable song to date, yet still remains unknown to those unfamiliar with the underground francophone music scene.
