Azerbaijan chooses Yuxu (Dream) to represent the country in Latvia! The band brought 19th place to Azerbaijan through its participation in edition #22 and we hope for a better placing this time. The blues-rock song entitled 'Xəyalpərəst' can be translated as 'Dreamer' and was premiered in 1994. For the recap, please take 00:40+

Welcome to Riga, Latvia! As the host nation (so cool to say that phrase for the first time!) we are gonna go with a song from a band that comes from Riga, the host city of this edition! There are all kind of situations in our lives when we are happy, sad, want to get out of everything, want to celebrate etc. - those are the moments we usually remember for a long time. One of those moments that I will remember for some time is my first ever win in this contest! So let me present you the song called "Moments"! Gain Fast - "Brīži" (eng: "Moments") (2:31 onwards, please) PIC:

Time to return with a song I always wanted to submit.
Patent Ochsner - Venus vo Bümpliz
It's actually called W.Nuss vo Bümpliz, but I personally prefer the diction Venus which I've seen before as well. The title means "Venus of Bümpliz" (Bümpliz = a suburb of Bern (+ according to singer Edita Abdieszki a "place full of shit" ))
Patent Ochsner are together with Züri West (who I sent with their biggest hit back in #28) the probably biggest music "export" from Bern. They've been around since the late 80s (at least I think so) and are especially successful in the album charts which they entered 13 times so far resulting in 7x #1 and a total of top 5 entries. This song is considered as Patent Ochsner's best and despite being not that successful back in the 90s (Peak: #16) it's nowadays a huge classical. However we still have no idea what it's actually about. Also the band members itself are rather unknown - except the singer who's one of the most famous people related to music.
