Aja or Jay Rivera is a drag performer of Moroccan descent. While the region around Casablanca was only slowly adapting to cultural liberties as seen in neighbouring European countries, the contest and eventually, Morocco's win sky-rocketed the acceptance of minorities in the country. After expressing her welcoming feelings, she has accepted to lead the viewers through all shows with her iconic catch-phrases. You're perfect, you're beautiful, you look like a foreign act. Next!
Maria Nadim may be more known to the fans of the contest, as she was the automatic qualified entry for Morocco in the twenty-second edition, held in Bulgaria. While placing 23rd wasn't the most successful part of her life, she can boost with a great backstory, competing on The X Factor Arabia when she was only twenty years old. She's back to appeal to the more conservative approach of showcasing Morocco to the entire world.
