I found that the Latvian one is www.pieci.lv/lv/lr5/raidijumi/latvijas-top-40/ This top gets updated every Sunday, so it's hard to tell, who's first atm (because it's 4 days old already)... but if I look at the "freshest" song in the top with highest climb, then our No.1 for now is... |

 Switzerland:Lo & Leduc - 079 Sorry for the horrendous video, but it's the only one I found on youtube. There's been an official audio which is block since like 2 hours!A few fun facts: 1. It's the first Swiss song reaching the top since 2014. 2. Although it's already May, this is the only second number-one in 2018. 3. It's the only third time this millenium(!) a Swiss song is number one without being related to any kind of casting show, TV advertisement nor a sports event! (I guess that says enough about our music industry  ) 4. I'm not sure here, but since 2000 it's the only 5th time a Swiss song which isn't in English goes to the top. 5. With 8 weeks on top it's the second longest run of a native song this millenium and the third longest (respectively fourth longest if we consider Robert Miles as Swiss too) ever. However that isn't too difficult as it really feels like our songs hardly ever stayed there for more than just 1 - 3 weeks. |
