this is even worse than Sweet but Psycho But still a thousand times better than the original song.  Btw I love Con Calma as well as Sweet but Psycho and still don't really understand why so many people hate them.

How did you guess? Your previous comment had some negative tone. Well, then you won't be surprised to see me say - "It's still leading this week as well..." 7 weeks in a row!!!!!!!!! I mean, it's not a bad song in general, but to be No.1 for such a long period? I just don't get what people see so much in that song to love it more than any other song...  Let's compare - one of the songs most people here seem to like very much "Shallow" with "Giant". "Shallow" made it's debut in our top40 3 weeks after it's release - has won only 2 times (both in a row). Got it's first win in 25th november - 2 months after it's release. "Giant" made it's debut in our top40 2 days after it's release in 25th january. Debut was very good for a song that hasn't been available for at least a week - 16th place ("Shallow" was 1 place lower that week). Has won 7 weeks in a row since then. And who knows for how long they will remain there... Statistics from YT - on average "Shallow" has more views per day than "Giant" has (I mean only the official videos)! So "Shallow" in general should've done better than "Giant", but it hasn't been even close to how good "Giant" is doing... I don't know about you, but I can't explain this... Even "Sweet but psycho" was no.1 only once in our top40 at one point in january (it usually has been somewhere in top10 mostly (since it's debut in our top40), but not 1st (except for that one time)) One thing though that I noticed, that might kind of lead to something in this situation - Calvin Harris has been in our top since at least september 2018 (that's how far I checked our top40) with at least one of his 2018/19 songs, so... I personally haven't heard "Giant" on radio (or anywhere really - not even in a school full of pupils, where I've spent last 2 months), so I have no idea how it can be the most popular song here... |

Last time "Giant" was actually dropped (to 2nd place) from the throne by Sam Smith & Normani with "Dancing with a stranger", but this week is back at the top, so 7 weeks in a row was previous time - how long is "Giant" gonna stay on top now?

UPDATE from Latvian top40:
11 weeks this song has DOMINATED!!! Only once they stepped back to 2nd place, but since then is back in the throne - 10 out of last 11 weeks this song has been our No.1.
I know I don't need to tell you the song title, because you already know it. No other song has dominated our charts that much at least for the last couple years...

"Giant" HAS FALLEN!!!!!! (at least for one week) - last week only 10th place, which is their lowest since their debut, when they were 16th...
Now sitting at the throne is:
Let's see how long this will lead the way. I personally think it won't be first in the next top, which comes out on this Sunday...
