Bulgaria Officially Sends Rachel Row.. The head of delegation for Bulgaria stated that he wants to show the diversity of the Bulgarian music industry and show how amazing it can be without showcasing only typical pop songs. Rachel Row was seen as an obvious choice to show how amazing Bulgaria music can be.  VRT can officially confirm that Belgium will participate in the North Vision Song Contest 26, held in the neighbour country Netherlands!
The song has already been chosen internally by the Belgian team and is yet to be approved by the NBU.
An official announcement about the song will come soon. |

Despite the recent bad results, GPB, the Georgian national broadcaster has confirmed that Georgia will be participating at the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest in  Rotterdam!
An unsatisfying last place achieved in the semi-final of the 25th edition didn't led GPB to withdraw from the competition. Unfortunately, the Caucasus nation will have to face the pre-qualification round for the first time since the 17th edition. The Georgian entry will be selected internally due to financial
struggles of GPB. Eventhough the broadcaster confirmed a low level of interest from local musicians in terms of taking part in the contest, the submission for possible Georgian entries have already opened!

LTV CONFIRMS LATVIAN PARTICIPATION
AT THE 26TH NORTH VISION SONG CONTEST
9/02/2018, RIGA - The Latvian broadcaster LTV confirmed the Latvian participation for the upcoming North Vision Song Contest. The broadcaster confirmed that the format to choose their entry will be known later this week.

  Austria reveals selection method!After a few weeks of waiting, ORF can finally reveal that Austria's entry will be chosen by a national selection for the first time since NVSC 22. The broadcaster combined this information with the announcement, that NVSC 26 will be Austria's last edition under the current HoD, who managed the country since the 16th edition and lead it to their first victory as well as two 9th places.
The Head of Delegation's statement in full:
 I'm incredibly grateful for my time in the Austrian delegation, it has been great fun and I'm confident Austria has lived up to its full potential in this time. We decided to host a National Selection with some of the best new artists we managed to discover recently, to submit one last great entry until someone else will take the lead of the delegation. As for me personally, I got approached by the German Head of Delegation who revealed that he was going to leave his position and asked me to take over the job. After talks with ARD, ORF and the NBU we came to the agreement that I will lead Austria one last time before starting my new role for Germany in the 27th edition. It was a great time in Austria but I am also looking forward to my future in Germany!   Germany withdraws
Despite an earlier confirmation, Germany's Head of Delegation announced his sudden departure from the position with immediate effect. After leading the country for a whopping 17 editions, the current HoD will leave the delegation and, as previously mentioned, recommended the Austrian HoD to take over. ARD has confirmed a return for NVSC 27 under the new HoD.

that Moldova could opt for a different selection for
the next edition to highlight their regional talents,
while some pressed on and praised their tenth final
in a row. Still, one person was the most important
in deciding its fate.
Withdrawals mustn't mean a shutdown
of ways, they are meant for the

that are long overdue and full
of sense and meaning finally.
This is the reason given for
the withdrawal of Moldova in
the twenty-sixth edition of
North Vision Song Contest
and taking Austria from
the twenty-seventh on.Moldova is a country of opportunities
for many, and shan't be understated
in this competition. I learned so
much in my past twenty editions.
Like when to let go
and start anew.
: Dennis Sinn Moldova has participated in North Vision Song Contest since the second edition, however achieved their first qualification in the fourth edition with the new Head of Delegation. While struggling to do well in the first half of the countries' era and numerous non-qualifications including Mani, FireLove, Victoria Duffield, DJ Layla, Alissa, Olga Busuioc and Igor Stribiţchi, they also endured to place sixth with Kaiia/Kaya in Aarhus and fourth with Boris Covali in Bergen. After one edition of absence, they returned in #15 with Dima Trofim yet surprisingly landed in the pre-qualification round for the next edition only to rise like a phoenix with Aliona Moon's infamous second place. "Loc pentru dragoste" remains to be their best place in the final, while Kaya's "Burn" won them their semi-final in #22. Overall the country has had incredible results in the past, with the two previous artists automatically qualifying alongside Irina Rimes in both #20 and #24.
On a personal note, I want to be grateful for experiencing the Moldovan music industry for the past five years, and what a journey it was! The country has come a long way from being barely ever a qualifier to a fierce competitor not only in this but also contests on this forum and outside of it. With my aspiration clearly focused on Austria ever since (and me suggesting the later winner "Mirrors" to Julian in #23), I do believe that I'll be overall more happy with my home country being my player country in North Vision Song Contest for my final run in the contest to come. Through Moldova I got to have some all-time favourite songs and artists like Irina Rimes and Nicoleta Nuca, and I will always have a very special place in my heart for Moldova and a burning passion to see this country evolve not only musically but politically, rejoicing with Europe in the future I hope.
