INTRODUCTION
Firstly, before you come at me saying that it's a Stjärnfestivalen copy, it's not, don't worry.
In fact, Aless decided to start the contest after I told him the idea, and he quite changed it, since the original idea is what this new contest is going to be like.
(I still asked Aless can I open it and he agreed, since the contest has a different concept after all.)
FORMAT
If you know how the real Melodifestivalen (Swedish national selection for Eurovision) works, then that's exactly how Drömfestivalen's gonna work like.
4 semi-finals, 1 Andra Chansen (second chance) round and grand final.
8 qualifiers from the semi-finals (2 from each semi-final)and 4 finalists from the Andra Chansen will make up a grand final with 12 songs.
I don't think there's anything else to explain in the format, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them below.
CONFIRMATIONS
Compared to SäF, here you won't be confirming with countries, instead you only confirm with an artist and the song.
There won't be any originality rules, since DrF is supposed to be about enjoying the music you like.
That said, you will be allowed to send ESC songs.
However, the song needs to be released after 2000 and the artist needs to be older than 15 at the time of releasing the song.
You obviously can send any song you wish, however it's highly recommended to send an original song, since the contest is about sharing new music with different people.
There will be 28 spots each edition, and the 12 users who will manage to be in the final will get a safe spot in the next edition.
You confirm by posting your entry in the thread, so if you just write that you confirm, you won't have a safe spot in the edition before you post your song.
If you want to be tagged in the post to have a bigger chance to notice it, like this post.
And obviously, if you have any questions, ask them below.
