On the surface, Die Antwoord are simply the latest in a never-ending line of "did ya see that?!" blog-hopping music memes. Made up of lead MC Ninja (Jones), singer-rapper-sexpot Yo-Landi Vi$$er, linebacker-sized mute DJ Hi-Tek, and progerian survivor and artist Leon Bartha, the group made their live debut several years ago. But it wasn't until Boing Boing posted their music video for "Enter the Ninja" and a quasi-documentary called "Zef Side" on February 1 of this year that they shot ahead of acts like Animal Collective, Pavement, and Wilco on Google Trends. FLÍRSKSONG 07 WINNER REVEALED
The winner of the seventh edition of FlírskSong has been revealed. 3.1 million votes were cast during the fifteen minutes the voting was open, an increase of ~1.000.000 votes from the previous edition
The first three songs eliminated are:
3rd Elohim – “Skinny Legs” (18.52%) ( ) 4th Tim Bernardes – “Recomeçar” (16.68%)  
5th Viktoria Modesta – “Prototype” (16.66%)  That means that we have two acts remaining; Gem Club from Yuriakut Oblast with their song, "Polly", and Syuzanna, also from Yuriakut Oblast with her song, "Sila Momenta". Which song will fly along over to Baesnia City? IT'S GEM CLUB FOR FLÍRSKMASTO

Gem Club (Christopher Barnes, Kristen Drymala, Ieva Berberian) with their chamber pop song "Polly" will represent Flírskmasto in the thirteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest! Gem Club hail from Yuriakut, Yuriakut Oblast. They were leading in the first round, having 13.57% of the vote - and 22.22% in the Gold Final.
"Polly", the final single from Gem Club's second album, In Roses, has been described by critics as being an emotional message. The video, directed by Matthew Salton and Charlie Engman (whose mother plays Polly in the video), shows Polly, an elderly woman living a sheltered life whilst she explores her own personal glamour in several ways. Polly is too shy to express who she is to her small town, yet has no issue recording herself on video, in her alter-ego, for all of Fantasia to see. The song shows the world the loneliness suffered by elders, which is a problem in Flírskmasto.
The song is a song of mourning, imbued with a palpable sense of yearning and loss, dedicated to Barnes' late aunt, with shows in the gripping melancholy that subsumes the ballad's vocals whilst stabbing the piano, accompanied by the cello's weeping string, evoking sadness.

Due to a mix-up in the counting of the votes, it turned out that shortly after the results presentation, that second place Syuzanna had actually received the most votes in the Gold Final, surpassing Gem Club, meaning that the winner of the Gold Final was Syuzanna's Sila Momenta. However, as the entry was already submitted to the FBA, broadcaster FMST informed the press that Syuzanna has been instead offered to go directly to the fourteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest, wherever that be held.
Syuzanna has accepted the offer. NOEMI WINS IN GLARAY
After two rounds of voting in the country's national selection, Project Platinum, Noemi has been crowned the winner with the song "I miei rimedi" (Everish: My Remedies)and will represent Glaray in this edition of the Fantasia Contest, beating second placing Bianca Atzei by a narrow margin. This marks a return to a Glaraian entry being sent in a national language, the last time being in #5.
NOEMI
Noemi (real name Veronica Scopelliti), hails from Tusaun. After competing in X factor Glaray a decade ago, Noemi has made a name for herself in the industry, with highly successful albums and a string of hits to her name. No stranger to the Fantasia Contest scene, she has been considered in the past as a potential representative, but decided to take candidacy seriously after experiencing immense success in 2018, what Glaraian media has dubbed ‘The Year of Noemi’.
In February, Noemi won the most prestigious  Vieran Glaraian language music festival La Canzone with “Non smettere mai di cercarmi”, which has since gone on to be a platinum certified single and the second highest selling single in Glaray this year. As a result, album La Luna experienced strong opening week sales and spawned minor hits with album tracks and “Porcellana”. Increased commercial success led to another successful single in “I miei rimedi”, aka this edition's entry. Wrapping up her nationwide tour a couple of months ago, Noemi now has her eyes set on Fantasia Contest success to conclude the “Year of Noemi”.

    KRISTINA BAZAN WINS ON 2ND FANTASIA ATTEMPT Glendive, United States of Eldance - The Eldance statewide selection for Fantasia Contest 13, came to an end. As part of the last countries being revealed this Sunday on the 4 major Eldancan channels CBS, EBC, NEBC, and The CW. After a short tour, the State Juries and the Eldancan viewers decided that the honor of representing Eldance in Baesnia goes to Kristina Bazan with her song "Clockwork", which also means CBS will take leadership/broadcast of Eldance for the first time in the 13th ediiton.
Tonight it was finally time to choose the Eldancan contestant for the 12th of the Fantasia Contest, also marking the 11th edition of Eldancan selection in Fantasia, as the final of Sunshine & Stars took place on in Peconic's Glendive Daley Dome.
After the 53 Eldancan state juries and the Eldancan/Fantasian audience casted their votes it was a close race until the end knowing that the state of Sumter's own Kristina Bazan will represent Eldance in Baesnia with the song "Clockwork". The state of Sumter wins the competition for the first time after being 8th in the semis last edition, placing 4th in the State jury with 216 points, and 1st in televoting with 425 points earning a total of 641 points beating the runner up Atmautluak with a 61 point margin!
Artist - Kristina Bazan
Kristina is no stranger the the Fantasia Contest community, this being her second attempt to represent a nation, her first being back in 6th edition with her song "Out" placing 3rd out of 6th in Vradifest 02 her home nation selection. After her attempt in Vradiazi she decided to co-host the contest with Nico Tortorella from Vradifest 03 to 06.

 Yesterday, SOFI TUKKER posted the new tour dates for their Treehouse tour (part one). They will leave Fordia with one more concert in Krono tonight. Tomorrow morning they'll perform in Dyflinnjaborg. On September 7 they will kick off their tour in  Aquia. In between they'll have several performances in television shows. Part two will follow in December, including concerts in  Shinkoyu, Amelia, Trivania, Foxtavia, Sylvan, Glacea, Hwaesonna,  Lakadamia, Torlova and many more. |
