Volcanoes Yep, we have lots of 'em but unlike Hawaii, our volcanoes are above ground and visible not underwater which is creepier. Speaking of volcanoes, we used to have a perfect cone-shaped volcano named, Mayon Volcano in Albay but it's not a perfect cone-shaped anymore. Have you tried one?

You should try it sometime. I have to say that this is the most exotic food I've tasted. I personally don't eat the formed duck's head/body but I admit I love the yellowish part and the white hard part while sipping its own soup (which is the duck's blood).

Ew Most foreigners have the same reaction as yours. I can definitely imagine. ;D By the way, the blood of the duck is still in its watery form so it's as if you're sipping an ordinary soup from an egg shell.

I searched on Wikipedia for Balut and this is the picture: That is disgusting Yes, that is it! You won a million baluts for that! Just kiddin'! As what I've said, I only eat the yellow part and there's also a hard part at the bottom (which basically are the unformed body of the duck) but not the fleshy part. Yes, it is disgusting.

Next topic? Aside from balut/balot, what else do you think of when you hear the country, Philippines?
