Fantasian superstar Björk attacks a reporter in Evergreen August 14th, Breson
Björk arrived at Crystallfall International Airport with her son Sindri after a long haul flight; reporters were present, despite Björk's early request that the press leave her and her son alone until a press conference. While Björk was walking away from the reporters, Julie Kaufman, a female reporter, began to ask questions to Sindri, which was then followed by Björk's lunging at her and knocking her to the ground. Björk's record company said that the reporter had been pestering Björk for four days.
Numerous celebrities throught Fantasia expressed their disappointment.

A VOTE OF SOVEREIGNTY - WHO WILL WIN?
Next Friday, hundreds of thousands of Eastern Katsyrians are expected to cast their vote regarding the sovereign status of the autonomous state of Eastern Katsyria. A focal point of Katsyrian-Glaraian relations, the vote will be critical in determining social and economic stability not only in the region but both countries. But what is the predicted result, and potential consequences from this vote?
PREDICTED RESULT
The referendum is simply too complicated to predict. Although the issue can simply be put as one of ethnicity, the issue is not as black and white as it seems. Glaraians constitute 60% of the population, Katsyrians 30% and Eldancans 10% - based on these figures alone, one would assume that a vote of secession could easily be achieved, however this is not the case.
Despite polls showing upwards of 90% support of secession from ethnic Glaraians in the region, the percentage has dropped substantially as the referendum nears, as people slowly come to realise the idea of an independent Eastern Katsyria is no longer a wish, but a plausible reality. Many ethnic Glaraians are hesitant to vote in favour out of fear; while they yearn to be liberated, the fallout from such an action could be catastrophic. “I want to be independent, I really do,” a local says, “but I am very scared that a war could break out from it and it wouldn’t be worth it.”
On the opposing side, Katsyrians are in staunch support of remaining and this support hasn’t waived, but many carry a defeatist attitude and see a no vote as unrealistic. “There are twice as many Glaraians here as there are Katsyrians, and they have a lot of influence. I do not want to part from Katsyria at all but it’s looking like a bit of a lost cause,” a Katsyrian local says.
Many believe that the Eldancan minority in the region will dictate the result and are the swing votes. While the government in Eldance has expressed their support for the region to secede, this is not necessarily a reflection of the minority in the region’s opinion.
THE VOTE
The referendum has been split into twenty-three voting districts. While the popular vote will determine the referendum’s outcome, a stipulation of victory is that the popular vote must also win a majority of the regions’ popular vote. If the yes vote is the outcome in only eleven districts, the vote will be deemed a failure.
The districts are as follows (with their predicted outcome):
ALEXANDRIA – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) BIRBRIDGE – Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) BRUDERTON – SWING DISTRICT (No Glaraian/Katsyrian majority) CENTRETON – SWING DISTRICT (Eldancan minority likely to determine outcome) CORBANK – Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) FENELLA - SWING DISTRICT (Eldancan minority likely to determine outcome) FRASER – Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) FRASHERI - Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) FRESLON – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) GREATER CENTRETON – Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) HAJDARI – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) LEGAREVILLE – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) LINWYN – SWING DISTRICT (Eldancan minority likely to determine outcome) MASONVILLE - SWING DISTRICT (No Glaraian/Katsyrian majority) PASCALIS – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) PELWICK - Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) PENZAVA – UNKNOWN: Glaraian majority, but the ‘fear vote’ has been influential here POTENZA – UNKNOWN: Glaraian majority, but the ‘fear vote’ has been influential here SHALA – Expected YES vote (Glaraian majority) STOKEDEN – Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) TIVERLY - Expected NO vote (Katsyrian majority) VERTMERROW - SWING DISTRICT (No Glaraian/Katsyrian majority) WEST GROVE – SWING DISTRICT (No Glaraian/Katsyrian majority)

Vremd participation at the Fantasia Contest in jeopardy due to the government
There has been a lot going on in the Vremd medias during the last week. It is claimed that the president, Matthias Wessels is ready to stop funding the public proadcaster De Vremd 1, with special warning towards the Fantasia Contest. It's a common fact that the country's results have not been satisfying neither for the public, nor the government, and this is the main reason why the president lost interest in funding the international event's costs: flight tickets, hotel rooms, accomodation, numerous interviews and TV appearances, and obviously all the costs regarding the sent entry, aka the presentation, backing dancers, backing vocalists, suitable background, LED screen etc. The president would prefer to support other events, where De Vremdspongeln has a better chance of getting a good result, such as tennis or winter sport competitions.
The current Head of Delegation, Laura Trocknens held an urgent press conference together with the most influential names in the broadcaster and also with the president himself. She released the statement below:
The fan community is protesting against the idea, and a meeting of 10,000 fans at the city centre of Koppan was created, to let their voice be heard.
It is expected that a solution will happen regarding this topic, as it's not really in any organization's interest to stay away from a prestigeous international event.

Euthanasia to be legalized in Dýria after a nationwide referendum
Yesterday, Wednesday 15th August 2018, Dýrians were asked whether or not they wanted to legalize euthanasia in the country or not. Dýrians in all 74 constituencies of Dýria voted and the results have been released.
Why is this an important issue in Dýria? Current legislation bans the practice of euthanasia in Dýria in most cases. Doctors can be prosecuted for carrying out the procedure as it is currently illegal to actively contribute to ending someone's life. However, passive euthanasia has been semi-legal in the country, in which patients can be taken off of life support by request of family members should there be no chance for their survival.
Since this is a constitutional issue, citizens in the country must vote to repeal any legislation set by the Dýrian government. Proponents for the legalization argue on ethical lines, arguing that it should be legal as laws shouldn't dictate when or how a patient chooses to terminate their life, and also argue that it should be a right to choose what to do with their bodies, and that it should be offered as a viable alternative to patients not satisfied with palliative care (which helps improve the quality of life for those suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses). Opponents argue that it would undermine the level of healthcare provided, and that palliative care should be the only option. Many other opponents have cited religious reasons as well.
Results
Já/Tá/Ya/Yes (majority) Já/Tá/Ya/Yes Nei/Níl/Nann/No (majority) Nei/Níl/Nann/No
In all, just over 66% voted to repeal the current legislation. A further 32% voted no, while 2% were either blank or invalid votes. Urban areas such as the 6 cities in Dýria had high turnouts for a yes vote, while more remote and isolated parts of the country returned a no majority vote.
Aftermath
Euthanasia will be legal from September 2018 provided that certain conditions are met before the procedure is carried out, including: the patient's request must be voluntary and well considered; the patient must be suffering unbearably both physically and mentally with no prospect of relief; the patient must be informed about their condition and prospects; another independent doctor must be consulted; consent must be granted from the patient first.
With regards to social issues, Dýria has been quite liberal towards issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage, although laws relating to this issue have generally been strict. The president of Dýria, Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir, will sign the legislation into law and like previously mentioned, will be available from September 2018.

Senator Haley Visits Rescued Children Marupahtnanavuriht, Alarek, Central Llort Engju version
PICTURED: Children's rights activist Kailash Satyarthi and Senator Nikki Haley chatting with rescued children at an orphanage in Marupahtnanavuriht
Senator Nikki Haley flew to Alarek's capital Marupahtnanavuriht from Nitram L.N. to visit schools and orphanages in the city. Coming along in her visits is children's rights activist Kailash Satyarthi. The senator will visit four orphanages in different parts of the city in two days. As some of the leading figures in the protection of children's rights, Haley and Satyarthi will discuss measures to improve the lives of children in the area. Many of the children in these orphanages were rescued from human traffickers. The senator hopes to bring attention to the issue of children's rights to the United Nations of Fantasia (UNF) with a prospect of creating a stable monitoring agency.
The province of Alarek currently experiences the highest rates of child trafficking in the world. Additionally, Marupahtnanavuriht has the highest frequency of crimes against children worldwide. Despite the province's economic growth due to its proximity to the capital, human rights is still a main issue in Alarek and Northern Llort.
Nimrata "Nikki" Haley (née Randhawa) was born in the Northern Llortish province of Bajnup where she served a six-year term as governor before being elected as one of Llort's 48 senators, a position she holds today. Haley is currently one of Llort's most influential politicians and is also known for her marriage with an Eldancan man (hence her married name Haley).
