Agree too. But it's just too much to see actually 4 countries using British songs (UK,Isle of Man,Guernsey,Jersey)

Then why is Denmark allowed with Greenland and the Faroe Islands? Why is US allowed with USA Virgin Islands? Why is Australia allowed with Tuvalu? Hypocrites.

I think it's safe to say that contests should refrain from allowing these territories/states to participate IMHO. After all, in real contests such as Eurovision, sports, beauty pageants, etc., they only allow legitimate countries and some recognized territories (i.e. Curacao, Hong Kong, etc.) to enter. But in the end, it's still up to the contest manager if he/she would allow these territories to take part on their contests.

As far as I know, no one has disallowed it. It's just that no one has actually tried to send a song for the Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey etc. With my contest, I allow certain islands to represent their bigger countries, but not all of them. The list would be never ending if I did that with every single country/island.
It all depends on the host of the contests. Some allow it, some don't.

Really it should all be down to personal opinion. I don't allowed territories with a population of less than 500,000 in contests.

Back to where all the users have for their own personal perspective for recognizing them. I felt surprised that I could represent Catalonia in Everybody's Song Contest! You normally not recognize Catalonia as an independent country itself but just a Spanish region

I agree with the Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man thing - I mean at least they actually have people who live on them unlike the Sealand which is literally a square oil rig? ...
