Kaleo for Iceland

On 12th September 2018 RÚV announced that the country will represented by the music group Kaleo. The entry that Kaleo will perform will be chosen from the 5th edition of the Söngvakeppnin. The band is known for their hit "Way Down We Go". About the contest: Kaleo try to represent Iceland two times, the first time with the song "Vor í Vaglaskógi" but unfortunately they finished in the 6th place and failed to qualify to the final and the second time with the song "Broken Bones" they qualify from the semi-final 1 and in the grand final they finished in the 3rd place with an amount of 115 points.

PTC released the Songs for Beovizija 1
Serbia confirms a national selection Beovizija. For the first time Beovizija will make three shows, two semi-finals and the grand final. Each Semi-final will have six songs with four qualifiers.

RIK Confirms Participation
RIK announce that the country will withdraw after the Hod of Cyprus resigned. A New Hod has founded ESC TØLI and the Hod announced on 24 September 2018 that Cyprus will still participate in the ninth edition. The Method that Cyprus will find out their entry is unknown yet, but an internal selection is very likely.

ČT Confirms Participation
ČT announce that the country will participate in the ninth edition after a new Hod for Czech Republic founded and is Andrés Fernandez. The Method that Czech Republic will select their entry will be an Internal Selection. More Details very soon.
