Politics of Lakadamia
Lakadamia, also known as the Lakadamian Federation,
is a country located in the Lakadasia continent.

I. The Parliament
The federation is officially using the Parliamentary Republic System, and the Parliament is a Bicameral legislature,
comprising the Haut-Conseil, and the Assemblée de la Fédération.
Also, the 5 Autonomous Republics have their own Parliament & Government.
I. a. Le Haut-Conseil
The Haut Conseil is a part of the Lakadamian legislature, which was created in 2016, after the tensions provocated by the Autonomous Republics in October/November 2016. It was created to put equality between the 4 types of
Administrative Divisions of Lakadamia: Territories, Departments, Districts, and Autonomous Republics.
It posseeses a total of 80 Seats, distributed like that:
■ 2 Seats per Territories
■ 2 Seats per Departments
■ 1 Seat per Districts
■ 5 Seats per Autonomous Republics
Each of the 80 Members are elected by the population of each territories, changing every 3 years.
Each members are making a 2-year terms, renewable 3 times (aka 6 years)
Last Elections: 20 November 2016.
Next Elections: October 2018.
I. b. Assemblée de la Fédération
This is the main place of the Lakadamian legislature, being the place of where everything within the
Federation is done. It possesses a total of 761 Seats*
* is usually changed, depending of the Lakadamian Population.
All the 761 Seats are given by proportionality and one party needs at least 5% of votes to get the right to enter the Assembly.
Like the Haut-Conseil, they can make a 2-year terms, renewable 3 times (aka 6 years)
Last Elections: 22 November 2015
Next Elections: October 2018*
* Were postponed of one year for matching with the 2nd HC elections.

Lakadamia is a country with a lot of varieties, which are reflected by the amount of cheese... but also by
the amount of political parties.

III. The President of the Federation
Yes, the Federation also have a President, which has, a lower importance, but it's still here
for concerning all the work about the country itself, it serves as an important spot of the Lakadamian Political stage.
For being able to bid for being the president of the Federation, one candidate must at least fulfill 2 of these demands:
• Must be affiliated to one Lakadamian Party
Independent candidates are allowed to apply, if they fulfill the other demands.
• Receiving 80 000 sponsorships of inhabitants of Lakadamia.
coming from at least 5 different Territories/Departments/Districts & 1 Autonomous Republic.
• Receving 750 sponsorships of mayors of towns within Lakadamia.
coming from at least 5 different Territories/Departments/Districts & 1 Autonomous Republic.
• Receiving the support of at least 50 Deputees & 8 Councileers.
The president is able to make a 3-years term, renewable 2 times (6 years)
Last Elections: 27 March 2016
Next Elections: October 2018*
* The previous Lakadamian President resigned after the protestations of November 2017,
then the Parliament voted for having the 3 elections within the same period of time.

French elections,
