 De Vremdspongeln confirms for the next edition!After Daya's respectable 9th place finish in the semi-final, falling short of only 8 points to qualify, the country decided not to give up on the participation yet. In a press conference the Head of Delegation, Laura Trocknens stated:
As it was stated in the speech, the country will use again an internal selection. So far, none of the internally selected Vremd artists have qualified in the contest, but due to a controversy and lack of funding of the president, this option is the best choice to be able to afford a high-quality entry for the contest.  Aquia confirms participation!
Today, the Aquian broadcaster, Rede Globo, confirmed their participation in the fourteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest. This edition, the entry will be chosen nationally.
What do we know about the selection process?
The national selection, Festival da Canção, will consist of only three songs. The three of them are features consisting of two artists each and all of them are in Aquian. The national selection will be live and will last around eleven minutes. More information about the national selection format will be revealed soon before it happens.
Talks with other national broadcasters have been scheduled to organize a show consisting of several selections, both internally and nationally, including the Aquian one.
Aquia has participated in the Fantasia Contest thirteen times since its debut in the first edition. Since then it has never missed any edition. Despite staying in the semi-finals for the first consecutive editions, Aquia achieved its first qualification in the seventh edition with Noga Erez's entry "Pity" and its first victory in Söndje, Danskanksova, with Eva Simons' entry, "Guaya". The contest is broadcasted in Aquia by Rede Globo.
Aquia's debut entry was Purity Ring with "Bodyache". It was not a successful debut for the country, with Purity Ring coming fourteenth in the semi-final. Since then, Aquia has come last in the semi-finals one single occasion, in the second edition, when Anitta sang "Na Batida". Prior to their victory for Eva Simons, with the song "Guaya" in the ninth edition, Aquia's best result in the contest was a twenty-first finish for Noga Erez in the seventh edition. The tenth edition was hosted in Rio de Fevereiro, the capital city of Aquia. In that edition, the country was represented by Luísa Sobral who sang "João", ending up in a surprising fourteenth place in the final. In the eleventh edition, Sevdaliza was selected to represent the country with the song "Human", which finished in the third place of the final. As an automatic qualifier, Priscilla Alcântara represented Aquia in the twelfth edition with the song "Liberdade", finishing fourteenth for a second time. In the thirteenth edition, ROSALÍA sang "De Plata", achieving a fifth place.
Aquia has failed to reach the final seven times, including from the first edition to the sixth edition. In the ninth edition, Aquia reached the finals with Eva Simons' entry, "Guaya", ending a 1-edition non-appearance in the final, since Inês Brasil didn't qualify to the final with her worldwide hit "Make Love". To conclude a return to the final, they also won the contest for the first time ever, earning 460 points.
Aquia is currently second in the Fantasia Ranking of Nations after Demacia. |

we hope we can expand on that. We will stick to an internal selection, though. We are on a budget, but we hope sincerely we can bring back a competition format soon."

 DECORIA CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION! DRT, the Decorian broadcaster, has confirmed that the country will be competing in the upcoming 14th edition of the Fantasia Contest. The selection process is still not confirmed, but there are several speculations surrounding it. WILL DEKORIFESTIVALEN RETURN? Although the country has confirmed their intentions to take part in the upcoming edition, it hasn't been confirmed whether their national selection, Dekorifestivalen, will take place once again. The national selection has been proved successful for the country, selecting the majority of their entries that advanced to the grand final. However, there are several rumours and speculations surrounding the selection of the next Decorian entry. It was initially reported that DRT was trying to reform Dekorifestivalen in order to find an easier format for the selection. Recently, it was rumoured that the broadcaster would select 3 or 4 singers that would compete in the selection, which would consist of separate semi-finals for the artists and a final with one song from each artist. However, a few days ago there was a speculation that DRT selected the artist internally and started working on an edition of Dekorifestivalen solely for that artist.  VIKYIRIE DEBUTS IN FANTASIA Today it was revealed that the northern country will debut in the fourteenth Fantasia Contest, held in Niolskiaj. VRT, the official broadcaster of the country revealed that the country is very happy that finally can be part of this competition, after watching carefully every edition. The contest have had a huge fanbase back in the country, hoping for many years now that they would be able to compete and show their music to the world. OPTING FOR AN INTERNAL SELECTION The Head of Delegation George Mikaelsson, announced that the very first entrant of the country will be decided through an internal selection.
