Yianna Terzi was declared the winner of NorthSong 0013, with twenty-nine votes, twelve votes margin from second place. This is Terzi's first participation in the Greek national selection achieving to wave the Greek flag at Odessa, Ukraine. She is the daughter of the famous Greek traditional singer Paschalis Terzis. Her song "Karma" speaks about bullying and how you need to 'create good Karma' in your lives.

Yianna Terzi herself said:
"Karma" is not some magical force that punishes or rewards us. It’s simply the result of our actions. The song is inspired by the behavior of people who are Bullies. Temporary imposition won’t let them realize that in time what will matter most is the intention and energy behind the action. What you put in, is eventually what you’ll receive.

La Bronze to go for gold in Ukraine!

After a successful edition in Rotterdam, Morocco is ready to step up its game in terms of production - although maintaining its sombre mood - hence moving closer to art pop.

La Bronze, the pseudonym of Nadia Essadiqi, is a Moroccan-Québecois singer-songwriter and actress. To this day, she has released two studio albums: her eponymous debut in 2014 and Les corps infinis in 2017, and her Rois de nous EP in 2016, which have all received acclaim from the Québecois music scene. She is best known for her Maghrebi Arabic cover of Stromae's Formidable, which has garnered nearly three million views on YouTube.

La Bronze will perform a song from her most recent album - Les corps infinis. The song will also be performed entirely in French - the first Moroccan entry to be performed in the French language since Blanc ou noir in #21, which came 3rd.

The song is typical of modern day art pop, taking some influences from chamber music too. Using a mixture of synth lines and bass lines to her advantage, Essadiqi builds up to a beautiful crescendo towards the end which is atypical of her other material, aided by the inclusion of brass instruments.

Imane's unprecedented 8th place in the Netherlands has only strengthened the national Moroccan interest in the North Vision Song Contest. The hosting of the 25th edition proved to be a huge success in Morocco, promoting the country's sparse music scene not only to the world, but also within Morocco itself. "northvision" and "NVSC" searches increased as much as 465% with Moroccan IPs too. 2M's head of delegation stated that "it is only right to continue our current artistic evolution, and do our best to maintain our iron grip on the evolution of the contest itself."

La Bronze was officially approved by the North Broadcasting Union months ago, along with another artist whose identity will remain hidden.... for now. Listen to the Moroccan entry below:
