ANNOUNCING THE SONG CONTEST WIKI NETWORK The Song Contest Wiki Network is a brand new wiki network for all things relating to song contests and The Song Contest Forums. VISIT THE WIKI FAQ (PLEASE READ) So what is this, exactly? It's a wiki network, meaning there are multiple wikis hosting their own content, but with a connected login and registration system. The wikis are all linked to one central wiki (from here on out: the hub). Why is this useful? Other wiki hosting sites like Wikia and Miraheze have long been used to host contest wikis, but they aren't tethered to fit all needs of a contest wiki and the people running them don't really care enough to put focus on a random contest's wiki. However, on The Song Contest Wiki Network, all contest wikis will be treated equally, and everything will fit exactly your needs. Right. Can I make a page for my contest? No! The hub will only host content related to the forums and users, you can create a page for yourself to list off your participations in contests, like you did on the old Song Contests Wiki on Wikia. To host content related to your contest you will need to request a wiki for your contest. How do I do that? Click the "Request a wiki" button on the main page to get started. Your request will be reviewed by a staff member and your wiki may or may not be created based on a staff decision. There are many rules regarding hosting which you can also find on the main page, as well as on the request page. TL;DR on the rules? Please read them, not following them will result in your request being declined immediately. You can find the rules on the main page as well as the request page, as mentioned. Here is a brief summary: to be eligible for a wiki, your contest must have a board on the forums and have successfully run for at least one edition. There are further rules regarding activity, copyright and more. I already have a wiki somewhere else, can I move it over? Yes! We will assist you in moving your wiki over. Will you help me set up my wiki? Maybe. We will help as much as we can, but if you request a wiki, you need to also be aware of the responsibilities that come with it, we cannot do everything for you. But do feel welcome to contact us for help. I have more questions. Contact a staff member, preferably me, because the other staff members probably aren't as knowledgeable about this yet.
