As I am preparing for the next "new and improved" Asian Voice Song Contest, I was wondering if you'd still like to see Cyprus on the next AVSC? Geographically speaking, Turkey and Russia are Eurasian countries with majority of their lands on the Asian part so I considered them to join the AVSC. When it comes to Cyprus, however, it is an Asian country but with European roots, culture and insights. I thought about it as the Israeli counterpart of the Eurovision Song Contest since Israel is an Asian country but it could join the Eurovision. So I'm confused if I'd still consider Cyprus to join in the 3rd edition of the AVSC and I'm letting you guys be the judge of it. As for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Russia, I'd still consider them since they are officially Eurasian countries.

I voted no. Even though you have a good point for talking about Israel being a counterpart to Europe and then vice versa over the way of thinking Cyprus on Asia. I see only the language as the biggest issue. Cypriots deal their language with Greece which is 100% European, while as Israel has their own language for itself.

No I agree with Christian. As you said Cyprus has European roots.

I'd rather think geographically than politically or culturally. If Cyprus should be European just because of culture, doesn't that mean Greenland is European? No, Greenland is North American and Cyprus is in Asia, geographically.

That's the issue for Cyprus for being Eurasian (don't you think?) like the [img src=" i.imgur.com/sLCu89G.png" src="https://i.imgur.com/etyrva6.png" style="max-width:24px;"] Caucasus countries and Russia. Whatever with Greenland, it is geographically in North America, but is under the kingdom of Denmark, for the only cultural meaning.

Cyprus and Armenia are geographically still in Asia, and don't think culture should separate that.

For what's worth for an Asian contest + thinking of some system of broadcasting (I know it doesn't matter in this case ), Cyprus would be out in my book. My feeling on Armenia is more fitting IMO.

I think yes! but it should be Northern Cyprus... wait N. Cyprus is a dump nevermind just go with Cyprus Whoa! This seems to be a 'hot' debate. ^ Actually, I did thought about replacing Cyprus with Northern Cyprus since it 'belongs' to the Turks and Turkey is still a considerable Asian country but then again I thought that only Turkey believes and claims that Northern Cyprus exist so I asked you guys if Cyprus should still be in my contest.

Also if Russia wins and when Moscow will be the host city it will geographically be placed in Europe. Well hell, manually capitals are what hosts the contest for the first time on the country.
