Thank you so much for the qualification, everyone! So glad to have kicked off the Ystrian debut with a considerable hype around my entry, something which I would have never expected. Neither did I – nor Zwiss – really count on a qualification until the predictions started rolling in, to be blunt. Let’s see how the story of Roar continues in the final. #12sTo12

Keeping my reviews of finalists to the final results as not to spoil too much, I shall just remind you lot of the songs you’ve cruelly taken away from me in these brutal semi results.

Well, this was a borderline qualifier for its entire lifetime. Even though the most common word during its recap runs was “cute”, it was at least the good kind of cute. The one that isn’t harmless.

Dear God, I expected more for Trivania. Still a bit in shock at how everyone in the Togethertube room seems to have forgotten it as soon as the final qualifier was announced. I would have thought Röyksopp could have gone much further than this in the final. It might have been a small margin, though I concede there was no really 100% suitable choice for a recap timeslot. I’ll blame this one on the recapvoters.

Bubblegum pop is dead, and unjustly so.

Really don’t get the hate, to be quite honest. Am not going to complain too much though, the s1 results mostly went according to my wishes. This edition was just quite competitive.

So much for my semi winner prediction. Not that horribly sad about the song itself (although Ida snaps a lot, s2 was just really really tough) but more about the final kind of feeling incomplete without the big s2 prediction favourite. Maybe it was just a favourite for me.

As someone who has gladly accepted Alex’s 12 to this song in another contest where it was sent by me, I feel a bit let down. Fun bop that didn’t take itself seriously.

I had this on my to-send list for basically everywhere, and I would have thought Travva was at least to Fantasia’s taste if nowhere else. This NQ has greatly helped me in gauging I don’t need to send it anywhere anymore.

We were so close to a 100% debut qualification rate this time around.

Semi-Final 1:
messiest sf result wise. (my top 3 and possibly 3 out of my top 5 nq-ed urgh).
Robberies :
(rip 24 and WHY DID YOU ROBB HER OF THE FINAL AGAIN ff)
(again underrated eh, this was their best entry in a while and they had to plop again...)
(the biggest bop of the edition is going like this, drone bomb me didn't nq for this to nq too)
(well I don't love this but it was a cool entry but Fever Ray is a great artist, as well as Royskopp. It is sad that this got to be 2nd Trivanian ns. I guess Trivania turned into the Greece of FC with either them being borderline q or nq despite previously successful constest history).

Deserves:
(imo the genre George is doing best and it deserves the final at least - especially as he waited so long for FC).
(that beat is so good, it grew on me after recaps so much, obv deserves the final). 
(Predictions who - great song + they ain't nq-ing in Torlova so). 
(Instrumental buddy in the final XoX, good job with your debut (even tho I predicted you to be shock out sorry)). 
(when I 1st heard it, I was sceptical about it BUT it is that blyck womyn bop)


Semi-Final 2:
more stable semi but it had some major robberies.
Robberies:
(having more faces costs you that your votes will get divided with each of them, I predicted this as possible AQ when it got revealed and I am shocked this nq-ed, it deserved that AQ).
(I didn't expect this to Q but it is a good song anyway and deserves a mention).

Deserves:
(good job on your debut, it is a nice song that I kinda saw being forgotten but gladly you proved us wrong, gj sis).
(we stan Instrumental bops, also congrats for breaking that nq streak that you were going to get into again x). 
(you nq-ed so you could SLAY this edition, this is such a great upbeat song I love FC for, I predict this going top 5, even having chance to win).
(Possible winner if televote ain't a bitch, obv qualifier and honestly ).
(great entry tbh).
(it is that blyck woman bop [2]).

Semi-Final 3:
as the weakest semi, it was most predictable and with least robberies but still they are some songs that I am sad that they got left out.

TY ALL, Love YOUUUU, I honestly was prepared for the nq as predictions were mixed, but here we are. Idk why I ain't more confident with this masterpiece, I guess recap timeslot was lil bit off at least imo or just this song seems more silent there and it doesn't show emotion I hear when I listen to it. Glad people coresponded with it and gave us second final in a row. I am so shocked that I actually do really decent here especially as this edition was kind of a bloodbath. Well I really don't care what I get in the final, I am in it woo

Robberies:
not giant robberies here but:
(sad this was only debutant who nq-ed).
(it was a great song but I feel it got canceled out by many non-lyrical timeslots).
(good japanese bop but I guess it was just there and didn't really have fans so it got left out).

Deserves:
(good job for breaking the nq streak, I guess my return making you nq ain't real, Kimbra is a great artist and glad to see her bringing them to the final).
(we stan ethnic bop).
(great pop song).
(I think this song deserves a lot, it is so emotional and great + Ghibli MV, possible top 5 placer).
(Kingdovania gaining luck when I joined x jk this was great and it deserved to be in the final).
(Dyrians snapped this edition, didn't we, great faroese bop that deserves final and revenging last edition's robbery).

This Final will be tough but that means it will be more fun. Good Luck to everyone and may the best song win.

Semi 3 results were pretty awful all round (given the semi was generally poor anyway)

Not shocked I didn't qualify but thoroughly believe I had the best song in the semi so suck my ass x
