It’s a nice idea whoever started it and I do get that people are annoyed. But the health of millions is much more important than a song contest and while I would love it if they decided to reconsider and not cancel the contest, it would be a selfish thing to do considering the current situation. Also, some artists didn’t even want to go to film their postcard so I’d doubt they go for the real thing. And considering 182 million people watched ESC, a petition would need millions of signatures for the EBU to consider

I think a august/September contest would work then push 2021 to june/july then 2022 back to may. I hear alot of moaning on here but know one willing go sign or help as it looks like people have given up. It would help if the ebu new as health organisations said it would be under control in most countries by the summer. But if you dont care about the contest and trying to seek an alternative to let these songs have the right to perform on stage then you csnt csll yourself fsns. Whesther u like me or not its not about me its about the contest

Sam, I want it as much as you do and I have signed it but honestly I'm starting to feel we just have to let it pass this year sadly. Even if it is brought under control in the next 6 weeks as China, it would still be a huge hassle to move all the dates needing the arena and workers at such short notice, it wouldn't be practical. And that sucks especially as we had a chance of actually winning this year. But so is life...
We should probably put our hopes in that the Olympics can go ahead if nothing else this year. Eurovision will have to wait I suppose

A couple of broadcasterz wanted it postponed and san marino have come out and said it. So the fact a number of broadcasters didnt want to cancel puts fuel a d pressure in the fire to gst eurovision back

All i have heard is people moan its been cancelled yet none of hou will ley your voice be heard and sign a petition to get 2020 back. Broadcasters didnt want it. So use your voice and sign else this community is dead.

I mean yeah many people are obviously sad it’s been cancelled, but a majority of the people are also aware of the fact that it was sadly the most reasonable action that could’ve been taken, since a rescheduling was already a tall task, and is now even more difficult due to the fact that it’s been cancelled already.
It has nothing to do with the fact that we’re dead or don’t wanna fight, but instead with most of us here being logical and realistic

All i have heard is people moan its been cancelled yet none of hou will ley your voice be heard and sign a petition to get 2020 back. Broadcasters didnt want it. So use your voice and sign else this community is dead. Says the one which basically thinks a pandemic of all things will end in summer. And that things will settle down super fast because you've decided that. Eurovision 2020 being cancelled is indeed bittersweet for the fans, bitter for the fact that it made already history by being the first ever cancelled edition in 64 years, but sweet due to the fact that the contest cares far more about the contestants AND fans' health and well-being rather than the show to go on. Also, "sign, else this community is dead" - people are aware a petition will do absolutely nothing. It never did anything for Elvana, nor for Margaret, not for people wanting to move the contest away from Israel last year, it'll never work in this case either. You're literally wasting your time by making people sign something it'll never work. People are sad, but they're realistic, unlike you thinking a pandemic will end whenever you want it. No one saw this coming. Yet you're blaming people for not standing up for a situation already confirmed as cancelled? Let alone sign an incredibly useless petition? Really? This community ain't dead, they just accepted the reality and moved on. A thing I'd advise you should do as well. With all that said, I'm out.
