The country won't return as far as I read online, but there will still be "A Dal 2020" hosted solely for the purpose of boosting up the popularity of the musicians/artists of the country. The winner would get 75 million HUF prize and DunaTV guarantees participation at the country's most popular festivals and help them launch their musical career.
I always felt like the show /A Dal/ was struggling to find it's place actually. As in the recent years it appeared like they are searching for "The song of the year" rather than the entry of Hungary at ESC. The shows even had little to no mention of Eurovision.. It was like "oh and also whoever wins will represent us at the Eurovision, but that's no big deal as we are searching for the song that the whole country will hum and sing"
