ARCA will represent Danskanksova

After many rumours, DURT has finally officially anounced today that Arca will represent the nation at the upcoming edition.

Alejandra Ghersi (born 14 October 1989 in Karakas, Vassarova, Danskanksova), better known by the stage name Arca, is a Dansk record producer, songwriter, singer, mixing engineer, performance artist and DJ based in Burg Bognovi. Arca has released three studio albums to critical praise and has produced for artists such as Björk, Kanye West, FKA twigs, Kelela and Frank Ocean.
Arca identifies as non-binary, and uses the pronouns she or it.

The National Selection "BackBlack by Arca" will start tonight with 4 of her most famous songs.

AN GO WILL REPRESENT DREVONA IN THE FANTASIA CONTEST 17!
After a month of voting in the national selection of

Drevona, drevoo, the winner has been finally crowned. Without any difficulties,

An Go triumphed in the selection with her song "Affection". She collected 19 votes, meanwhile the runner-up,

Jevin Julian managed to score second with 14 votes. Third place was received by a

Levallese-Drevonan artist Doda and her bop "Riotka".

"Be All Things" is also the 3rd single released from Birth of Violence and is a decidedly ethereal dark folk song.

TORLOVAN ENTRY REVEALED

TVT is proud to announce our act in the upcoming edition of the Fantasia contest held in

Decoria.

FRANZ SZONY!

The studio and the subject are ready. The stage is set with everybody and everything ready to go. The lights go up, the camera points and clicks. Behind the camera is the genius that makes the pages come alive for the reader. He will take us on a journey to faraway places we may only dream about.

For the picture to make us respond to it, it takes a good subject and an even greater photographer with a vision to share. How do you judge what makes a good photograph? Art is subjective. What gives the photographer an artistic eye?

Franz Szony grew up in Estambla. As the son of a casino manager, he watched all the shows that came to town. The show’s costumes clearly have affected his work.
He enrolled in art classes at the age of five and the legend was born. Lucky for us at an early age, Franz realized that he was destined to be an artist. He immersed himself in the craft by studying the history of photography and the techniques of other photographers then perfected his own style that would set him apart. Coming into his own over the years has had its ups and downs but he never lost sight of his path. He has no regrets and thinks the word “regret” should be banned.

'Petunia' is the selected song to represent the country. Watch and listen to it below.

HULDA WILL REPRESENT DÝRIA!

This evening,

DRTV took part in a super Saturday show organized by the

Everish broadcaster, where

Dýria and 7 other nations revealed their entries for the upcoming edition.

Dýria held a national selection, Dýrska Söngkeppnin 4, to select the

Dýrian act, and the results were revealed this evening.

As mentioned,

HULDA will be representing

Dýria in

Decoria, after narrowly beating 2nd placed

JÆRV in the super-final.

HULDA actually only came 3rd in the first round, but managed to win the national selection in the end.

Who is HULDA?

HULDA is the stage name of

Rannvá Helenudóttir, who is from

Sjóland. She first began her career anonymously, having created the HULDA project in 2013, although no one knew at that point who the woman behind the project was who carried a fine mix of electro, ambient and pop through her songs. However, later on, Helenudóttir admitted that she was the woman behind it, stating that:
In my community, it was very difficult to keep things like that a secret. There were less than 500 people living in my town, so realistically we all knew each other, and it wasn't long before someone recognized me as HULDA.

Rannvá later moved to

Evergreen, where she got her BM in Music Performance & Production at the

Crystalfall Centre of Contemporary Music, and moved back to

Dýria again in to focus on her career. She released her debut album Huldasound in 2015, which managed to place in the top 10 in the

Dýrian Albums Chart, although she was the 2nd most successful Sjólandic language singer in 2015, just behind Eivør.

Speaking with

Nene Leakes this evening, she stated that:
Obviously, I'm over the moon that I'm representing my country. It has always been a dream of mine, and the fact that it has come true feels amazing. You know the feeling when you don't have high hopes to win, but you do in the end? Well.. that's how I'm feeling now. The end result is only a bonus; I don't care if I fail to qualify, knowing that I gave it my all and showcased my music to the rest of Fantasia!

The song that

HULDA will be performing is "Sorgin" which means "the grief" or "the sadness", and like many of her songs, has a personal meaning behind it. Sorgin clearly portrays the pain and sorrow

Rannvá felt when her grandmother was first diagnosed with cancer and died a year later. You can take a listen to the song below:

Dýria sings in Sjólandic, the last time being #14, where Elinborg represented the country with Brimið.
