 Fantasia Contest #17ConfirmationsYou can confirm for the next edition now!All entries, regardless of whether they are selected internally or through a national selection, must be sent to the council for approval. You only need 4 yeses in order for your entry to be fully approved. Please do not include Daniel in your approval PMs anymore!You are only allowed to send a maximum of 2 approval messages. This is so the council can concentrate on things more important than dealing with a minor song change in a national selection, for example. If you send a third approval message (unless asked by the council to do so), we will not reply to it, and your new songs will not be considered. If, after 24 hours, you have not received a single 'yes' for your entry, feel free to remind the council.Effective as of this edition, the number of songs that can be sent for approval as part of a national selection is capped at 20 - this is to lower the likelihood of songs being sent for 2+ countries, and also because no one in the council wants to put 50 songs in a sheet at once.You cannot send any entry for approval until you have voted in the grand final of the ongoing 16th edition, and you cannot reveal your entry until after the results of the 16th edition. NIOLSKIAJ CONFIRMS FOR THE 17TH EDITION
After Farveblind and Paul Stephan's qualification in Alkyria, Net Niolskiaj (NN) has once again been quick to confirm Niolskiaj's participation in the next edition of the Fantasia Contest. Head of Delegation Anna Ou (no relation to the current edition's host of the same name) said, "We are delighted that the more risky approach to entry selection has paid off this edition in Alkyria."
"However, having assessed our options, the delegation team has decided against continuing Niolfiestyval for the 17th edition and onwards. Instead, the next Niol entry for the Fantasia Contest will be selected internally. Submissions are open as of now, and we welcome submissions from artists from across Niolskiaj and beyond!"
Various artists from across the country have once again stated their interest in representing Niolskiaj in the ever popular contest. More news will follow.

Dýria confirms participation!
DRTV, the broadcaster of Dýria, has confirmed this afternoon that they will be participating in the 17th edition of Fantasia Contest. This comes as no surprise due to the very high levels of interest in the country and that Dýria hasn't missed an edition as of yet.
After Hatari managed to qualify to the grand final of the 16th edition in Alkyria, there was no doubt that Dýria would participate in the upcoming edition. Speaking on Breakfast with Nene Leakes this morning, the HoD of Dýria stated:
After Hatari qualified to the final, I think everyone knew that Dýria would be participating.. we have no reason to withdraw at all, and I don't think DRTV would ever want to. The contest is the most popular show on Dýrian television as usual, and considering that our results have been fantastic, we love this competition and that will never change.
The Dýrian act will once again be selected internally, however DRTV has revealed that the result Hatari receive this edition will have an impact on which act would be chosen. The broadcaster has stated that it is open to submissions from all languages and from any singers born in or have significant roots to Dýria. Rumours are currently suggesting that Dýria will be sending a song in Brittonic for the first time, as it is the only Dýrian language which hasn't been seen on stage as of yet. However, more news will be revealed when the results are known.

After 3 very successful qualifications in a row, Ninelie is proudly confirming their participation for 17th edition of this highly popular contest Ninelie had luck to qualify twice using the Note Vaglia system but this edition we decided for equality.
3 editions - no national language spotted.
3 editions - only foreign acts and acts of Nineliese descent singing in Everish.
3 editions - no  Hydean act
Noi is taking control this edition, they are deciding for our entrant and not the public. We concluded that public cannot be trusted on optioning for equality and we want to satisfy our Hydean population by making them being represented in Fantasia Contest too.
SO WHAT IS ACTUALLY HYDEA?
HYDEA USED TO BE A COUNTRY THAT WAS CONQUERED BY NINELIE BACK IN 16TH CENTURY
During 1517 the 1st and only war that Ninelie had to face occurred. It was between the nation of Hyde. Hyde, nation that is closely associated with flag jarea Jarea and Wraith, wanted to conquer some land. They chose to attack Ninelie as it was the closest and thought to be weakest to them but Ninelie fought back nicely. The gods were on Nineliese side and granted them a win after a 5 year war. Many battles that took many victims. Hydeans even went close to Viano at one point. Thanks to the channels and small ships built by shipmakers, Ninelie successfully defended their territory. Nineliese decided to punish the intruders by conquering their land after their lunched victories. The War finished in 1722 with Hyde becoming the region of the Ninelie. The Hydeans after the war accepted their fate and decided to work on improving their status in their new country. They weren't treated bad by Nineliese and later got an autonomy that lasted till the modern times. They soon began migrating towards the south and now are a 2nd largest group in the country as well as Hydean is now the accepted language group in the country even treated as the 2nd official language in the country.
SO NOI FINALLY DECIDED TO LET HYDEANS HAVE A CHANCE TO SHINE. Noi optioned for 2 artists that they have worked with before and highly considered them for the contest. Their final decision hasn't been made yet but we decided to announce them:
AIMER Born in Viano, Ninelie into a Hydean, Aimer (エメ Eme, [eme]) is a Nineliese singer and lyricist of Hydean Ethnicity signed to Universal Music Ninelie and managed by Hiroyuki Sawano. Her name comes from the verb "Aimer" in flag lakadamia Lakadamian which means "to love".
She started doing music very early in her life at the age of 9 when she started playing the guitar and writing songs in Everish. She had her education in a Music Academy in Viano. She was known for her powerful voice and interesting vocal technique. Unfortunately her talent was decreased at the age of 15 when she lost her voice due to over-usage of her vocal chords and was forced to undergo silence therapy for treatment. However, that did not stop her, and after she recovered, she acquired her distinctive husky voice. Her talent was recognized when she got an invitation to enroll in the Academy of Music and Art in Verno known as the most prestigious Academy in the country.
In 2011, she won the Ninelie got Talent and was signed to Universal Music Ninelie. Her of copy of Lady Gaga's Poker Face hit #1 on Nineliese charts. After Ninelie got Talent, she met Hiroyuki Sawano and started working as his main vocalist. She started working as an Anime singer. She released music for successful Anime shows like Bleach, Fate Series, Terror in Resonance, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress etc.
DAOKO Daoko is a Nineliese-Hydean synth-pop, R&B and Indie pop singer, blogger and rapper that got attention thanks to her brand online. She was born in Hyde in 1997 into a family of art critic. At the age of 15 she started her official blog called DAOKO, that she got her name from. She started her music career after she posted her 1st song on her Blog and got a large attention of both music critiques and public. She combines a lot of elements of modern production into making her own unique style of music.
One of these 2 acts will be selected to represent Ninelie in the next Fantasia Contest. The Reveal of who will be the one reperesenting Ninelie will be right after the results of the current edition.

 CORZAZJAN CONFIRMS!Corzazi Head of Delegation Yens Remzi just confirmed during an hour lasting press conference, that Corzazjan will be present at the upcoming Fantasia Contest, wherever it might be held. The HoD let local media outlets know that the broadcaster was more than shocked after Numi's non-qualification in Alkyria. "We must have seen it coming, after being allocated to perform in the bloodbath semi of the edition, but we still had high hopes, we however are hopeful for our next entrant."
It has been confirmed that the broadcaster opted to go for an Internal Selection in terms of selecting the artist who will represent the South Sakodan state. The song will be selected through Cörzascan Yapımı 17, the tradition way of selecting their representitves. The preparations have started and the show will be aired in just a matter of time.Corzazjan has participated a total of six times since their debut in the eleventh edition of the contest. Their debut edition is still their most succesfull edition, with nobody other than Amanda Delara reaching the ninth place in the grand final. The country has since then been robbed several times most noticably during the twelveth and sixteenth edition of the contest.   Lanovina CONFIRMS for #17Cöhln, 28th June: While Julia Holter is proudly representing the nordic nation in Alkyria, LTR already announced the participation of Lanovina in the upcoming edition.
The HoD stated that "Lanovina's track record has been rocky this decade but that won't stop us from trying again and again. We look forward to share more of our country's music in the future and have no intent of withdrawing, especially with the viewers showing enthusiasm every single edition".
The selection process has already been revealed and turned out to be a slight surprise: for the first time ever, Lanovina will send a returning artist! While the name of the artist has not been revealed, the broadcaster explained how the artist "showed their talent in a past edition already" and will proudly "return for another shot at the FC crown". The song will be selected via internal selection. Lanovian fans are currently wildly speculating who the ominous artist is. With all of Sumera, Leïla Lanova, Fletcher, SVRCINA, Fishbach and Ida Kudo having released new music in the last months, some fans predict that it could be one of them. Others fantasise about the return of Skott, who holds the record for the country's best result so far. Even Julia Holter is rumored to return for a second consecutive participation by some fans. Zella Day, Tal, Kassandra, Ivy & Gold, Frøder, Ember Island, Rationale, Havasi and Lisa Gerrard are being ruled out by the majority of fans.

 LLORT CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION FOR 17TH EDITION LGY expresses disappointment in their fourth consecutive non-qualification, but a loyal fanbase in Llort was the deciding factor in the South Serican nation's continued participation in the Fantasia Contest. The selection method is yet to be confirmed, but based on the spokesperson's statement, Llort Rats will most likely be brought back for a third time.
A statement from a LGY spokesperson:
Llort debuted in the 9th edition of the Fantasia Contest, successfully qualifying for the Grand Final, but then placing 24th out of 26 finalists. They have participated in every edition since. Their second qualification came in the 12th edition, and the country achieved their best result in 16th place. Llort is currently seeking a third appearance in the Grand Final.

After a press conference regarding the final of the 16th edition, DURT has confirmed that plans for the 17th edition are well-underway, the broadcaster having already chosen the artist that will represent the nation at the upcoming contest: "It's a really creative artist, misunderstood by some, extremely appreciated by others. We believe this artist 100% deserves to have a go at it, especialy after showing so much interest." Asked about more details regarding the possible entry, the Head of Delegation only added that "our next entrant is a cultural mixture, their song will not be sung in English. But most probably, there is still going to be a National Selection." |
