IRELAND HAS SELECTED ITS WINNER!

The voting in the 4th edition of Emerald Festival concluded yesterday with 30 juries casting their votes.
The broadcaster revealed a part of the results, with the top 3 placement being kept secret from the public to raise the tension.

The last three acts that left in game to represent

Ireland at the upcoming edition of North Vision Song Contest were, in alphabetical order:

Empara Mi,

Fí and the only male singer from the selection,

Matt Taylor.

THE WINNER

Tonight in "On a Sunday" show hosted by the

Bosnian broadcaster, the winning entry was finally revealed to the whole public.
The biggest tension was between the fans of Matt Taylor and Empara Mi, however, the entry who will represent

THE ARTIST

Coming from

Irish parents, Empara Mi grew up on the island of

Guernsey, and then moved to

London aged just 15 to pursue music.
She only hit our music radars back in 2016, and her songs have seen unite pop, hip-hop and R&B alongside her striking visual aesthetics to develop a distinct and unique identity.

Empara Mi explains: "'Blood In The Water' is a captivating tale of the journey of a breakup. It begins in a dreamlike state where everything feels safe, but suddenly you can’t control the involuntary warnings flooding your brain. Slowly the walls begin to crack and the other person’s colours start to show.
I feel like everyone acts out the end of a relationship in their heads before it happens. Maybe as a coping mechanism; to prepare ourselves for the worst and to see how we will take it. This video was meant to capture that mental snapshot, the beginning of the end and all the fighting and anxieties that come with it."

Bosnian entry revealed!

Today, 24 November 2019, BHRT hosted the Super Sunday show in

Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Even though the show faced some technical difficulties, mainly because of the low budget allocated by BHRT, the show proved to be very successful. Here we have a picture of today's show, in which HoDs of

Hungary,

Ireland,

Lebanon and

Montenegro were involved!

Maja Manojlovic will represent

Bosnia-Herzegovina!

Maja Manojlovic is new to the music scene from Bosnia-Herzegovina, as she previously used to perform diverse covers of Balkan songs. Maja is a 35 year-old singer from Banja Luka, Bosnia-Herzegovina, but also an actress and a professional vocal coach at MaMa VOX.

With the occasion of

North Vision Song Contest #30, Maja Manojlovic prepared a special song, which is her only song, published on 16 October 2019, so that it was sent in the same day to NBU for approval by the HoD of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The new song and its dark and professionally made video delighted the audience in the country. Maja showed that the domestic music scene has something to offer fans of quality pop sound and she states that the theme of her song is love as inspiration and she describes it as melancholic and very sensual.

Maja Manojlovic will perform a song in Bosnian, "Ostani jos", translated as "Stay longer"!

It's Senidah for Montenegro!

In the Super Sunday II event tonight, the winner of

Mastefestival 30 was revealed to be Senidah and the song "Crno Srce", which received 255 points, including 12 points from the Moldovan, Russian, Slovak and British juries.

Senida Hajdarpašić, better known as Senidah, is a 34 year-old Slovenian-Montenegrin singer-songwriter, who first rose to prominence as a lead singer of Slovenian band MUFF. However, she rose to regional fame as a solo artist in early 2018 with the release of "Slađana" and her music has grown ever since.

Montenegro started their North Vision journey fairly successfully, with Savo Perović's "Iznenađenje" reaching the final and finishing in 20th place. However, this would become one of Montenegro's only four final appearances, and the following 8 edition saw non-qualifications and one withdrawal. The 10th edition brought some surprising and much needed success, and "Odlazim" by Andrea Demirović winning the semi-final and then coming 5th in the grand final brought an unlikely automatic qualification to the Montenegrin track record.

The first and only Montenegrin AQ was widely celebrated, and Jelena Tomašević put up a respectable performance of her entry "Radio Svira Za Nas" and gave the country another 20th place. A withdrawal followed in the 12th edition, but Jelena Kažanegra oversaw the Montenegrin return for NVSC 13 and reached what would be Montenegro's last final to date, finishing in 23rd place. Goga Sekulić and Jasmin Jusić's "Vuče, Lopove" came close to qualifying in the following edition, and a respectable 12th in the semi-final followed from "Preventiva" by Anabela and Boban Rajović, as well as another 11th place in the semi-final in the 27th edition from SPACETRAIN's instrumental piece "An Ode to Music".

But ultimately it was Balkan group MAiKA who broke the lengthy non-qualification streak in the 28th edition with their upbeat ethnic-inspired song "River Sava" to the jubilation of Montenegrin North Vision fans.
