IS IT SAMIRA EFENDI FOR AZERBAIJAN? According to Wiwibloggs, Samira Efendi might represent  Azerbaijan in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The rumors circulated indicate that the entry is composed by Dutch composers Tony Cornelissen and Luuk Van Beers. Following the rumor, INFE Azerbaijan announced that even though they do not have precise information on the selected representative, it is true that Samira Efendi performed three acts within the internal selection. Ictimai Television will soon announce the Azerbaijani entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Here are some of the songs performed by Samira Efendi: |

SAMIRA EFENDI TO REPRESENT AZERBAIJAN
 It is officially announced by the Ictimai Television that after a successful 5th attempt Samira Efendi will represent  Azerbaijan in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. The information was already shared by the official social media accounts of the Eurovision Song Contest as well. Her song will be announced soon. |

POSSIBLE HINTS About an hour ago, INFE Azerbaijan posted the following in their facebook account: "Scars” are not for life in the land of “Cleopatra”... #soon The post is assumed to include lyrics from the Azerbaijani entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Another explanation to the post is that it includes the names of two songs Samira Efendi performed in the internal selection: "Scars" and "Cleopatra". On the other hand, according to newly emerged rumours, Azerbaijani entry is an ethnic pop song. |

Eurovision fans of Azerbaijan share the same viewpoint. However, vast majority is disappointed with both songs (judging from the leaked versions). |

SAMIRA TO SING "CLEOPATRA" According to INFE Azerbaijan, "Cleopatra" was selected as an Azerbaijani entry and uploaded to Spotify account of the Eurovision Song Contest. I talked to a friend from INFE Azerbaijan who listened to the song in full length. According to him, the song starts like an ethno-art entry, and also contains Latino pop elements. The song is not fully published yet, so you can listen to the short snippet through my post above. |
