All the songs are available here - www.youtube.com/channel/UC1GtAB9S4eh4CZmao52Ayig/videos (or in the playlist in the previous comment) An important thing is - the jury will take in count, how well the songs will be doing on YT, which I just posted above... They haven't revealed, if they'll look at views or likes/dislikes, but the important thing is that by watching and rating the songs, you can possibly influence their choices... I don't think they'll have time to read all comments, but maybe they pay attention to those as well, so your opinion on the songs might be worth something as well... Jury's 8 choices will be announced on January 16th, 2020. |

^^ just to clarify something... you can see, that there are 9 artists/songs, not 8, like it was promised to be. My first thought was - was the selection really so great, that it was hard to choose only 8 songs? Don't know about that, but then I read the article and now I can tell you, why there are 9 songs, instead of 8.
As one of the jury representatives said: "It's important for a contest that there are young, capable and brave artists, who have a dream about the big stage and don't have any prejudice about this contest. Seleste has shown herself very well in the selection (casting), this is her very first song, and we hope, that this will give her and other young artists the much needed impulse to help reach their goals."
So yeah, that's why there are 9 songs, not 8 as it was promised before...

Since I listened to the songs, here are my opinions ANNNA – “Polyester” This song seems nice and modern. It could be a bit too bland for a small country in ESC, but the staging could help with that problem.
Bad Habits – “Sail With You” I'd call this a risky choice. I like it, but I don't see it (doing well) at ESC.
DRIKSNA – “Stay” I find this very boring. It has something missing to convince me.
Edgars Kreilis – “Tridymite” It's likable, but don't see this achieving anything remarkable. I could describe it as modern, but I'd rather say, I heard it all before.
Katrīna Bindere – “I Will Break Your Heart” I like her, but the song doesn't leave an impression on me.
Katrīna Dimanta – “Heart Beats” Sounds like a song that would appear on our NS and I pray it doesn't win because people will love it. It's catchy, but I'm not sure masses would be behind this.
Miks Dukurs – “I’m Falling For You” This sounds like the song I really like from him. Very emotional and I just love the contrast of his strong vocals in such a touching song. How could a song that's meant for feeling rather than watching, is a big question mark. It could go either way.
Samanta Tīna – “Still Breathing” She has a killer voice and the song is quite out there to get noticed.
Seleste – “Like Me” I don't like this, sorry. It's just okay.
Who I'd pick for my liking: Miks
Who I'd pick for general liking: Samata (she seems like a clear choice, stands out in the best possible ways)
Honorable mention: ANNNA

Well Markus really had his worst NF entry this year so it's kinda deserved. I am rooting for Samanta Tina as it's probably the only one I really like. All tho I can see Edgars win with his worst attempt so far.

Running order in the final has been revealed: 1. Seleste – “Like Me”

So pretty much everyone's favorite will close the final... is that a good sign?  The hosts of the show will be Ketija Šēnberga (as always), Toms Grēviņš (was a host in some of the previous years), while vlogger Beāte Bērziņa AKA Beta Beidz will talk to the singers after their performances.
