Knowing Latvia, they'll still not choose Samanta, even if all signs are obvious I think it really depends on how the voting process will take place. If it's only public voting, then I think Samanta has high chances. If jury will also have a voting power, then it's hard to predict. I presume there will be jury, but it remains unknown, if they'll have any voting power. None of the articles reveal anything about the voting process.

Jury and voting details have been revealed for today's Supernova final! 1. There will be jury! But not like other years. This time instead of 3 latvians and 1 member from Universal Music Group (Finland), there will be just 1 latvian, who will be joined by some neighbors - 1 lithuanian, 1 estonian and 1 Universal Music Group (FIN) jury members. The jury members are:
1. Artis Dvarionas (Radio personality, ex-singer) 2. Maarja Merivoo – Parro ( Raadio 2 editor and TV personality) 3. Gerūta Griniūtė (host of different TV and culture events and host of TV show "Tarp dalių (ne)plojama") 4. Petri Mannonen (3rd time as Supernova jury member from Universal Music Group)
2. Jury will comment on the songs and performances, but won't be voting, like they used to! This time there's only televoting!
3. This is the most important point, if you want to take part in voting!!! Only in Latvia's territory people will be able to vote by calling or sending text messages (1 call, 1 SMS from 1 number for 1 song (I guess you can do this for all 9 songs or maybe I just don't understand the rules completely)), but others (at least it used to allow other countries) will also be able to vote through Supernova home page up to 5 times (for 1 song) from 1 IP address. But I guess it should also be 1x for 5 songs or any other combination (they have forgotten to explain this in more detail). Voting through Supernova webpage has been an option for last couple years, so I think nothing much will change in that regard. I mean, no matter how many times you're allowed to vote, you can do it until the page doesn't allow you any more
4. In the end if 2 songs will get the same amount of votes, the one who got more calls will be the one to finish higher!
5. If you're following Supernova tonight and want to cast your vote through Supernova home page, I will post the voting link here as soon as the voting is open after all performances! Voting will last 10 minutes! To vote through Supernova page you might (usually they were needed) need FB/twitter accounts, so be sure you come prepared!
6. Supernova final starts at 20:25 CET!

From what I've read so far on twitter, most people think it's gonna be Samanta Tīna or Katrīna Dimanta. Many who are gonna vote for Katrīna say, that Samanta Tīna will end up like Triana Park did with "Line", because they both are similar songs from the energy level, but not so much lyrically... this is what I've picked up from twitter... obviously, that doesn't mean that it's only between these 2 - it's just that they are the most mentioned one's...
My opinion about this is - I was actually in similar thoughts about Samanta Tīna and Triana Park (before I read this on twitter). I hope I and many others are wrong, if she gets to represent us...
P.S. Looking back at some of our latest results, I can see some signs, that might mean Samanta (and Katrīna) could do well (emphasis on "could")... because if you look at how wiwibloggs have rated Supernova previously (since 2015), the winning song was never even close to being their favorite (except for Laura Rizzotto (2nd), Aminata (1st) and Justs (1st) - 2 of them did qualify to the final)... this year though, even though it's not unanimously, their favorite is "Still Breathing"... does it mean it will do well if chosen? I mean, I wouldn't mind, but only time will tell...

There's no comparison between a legendary queen that slays vocally (Samanta) and an awkward performance with a soloist that had no vocals (Triana Park)

ok Samanta already won then Let's not get too hyped, before it actually happens, because many big favorites (not only in ESC, but here in song contests as well) have failed this way, when everyone's too confident...

I was talking about Triana Park's soloist. She actually has great vocals... I mean we could argue about this very long, but let's forget about this now, because tonight is not about Triana Park...
