Yeah North Korea must have a few. Its right by China and South Korea, the early epicenters and they aren't known for their openness to world. I'd imagine Turkmenistan is similar while countries like Yemen and South Sudan are decimated by war and may not have testing resources.

Well, North Korea hasn't officially announced that there any confirmed cases but according to this article (the newspaper is controlled by the government) they have released from quarantine approx. 1 710 in two provinces. They definitely have people infected with coronavirus, considering how much they have covered the pandemic in the news and recommended people to wash their hands regularly etc.

Iceland update: I'm proud of how well we have responded to this outbreak, everything from testing over 3% of the whole population to the transparency of our reports and updates Latest updates from covid.is: 737 confirmed cases in the country. Of these 578 are in the capital region, 84 in the southern region, 34 on Suðurnes peninsula and the rest scattered across the other regions. 15 (2%) are currently hospitalized, 2 of which (0.27%) are in intensive care. Sadly two have died, an Australian man in his 40s and an Icelandic woman in her 70s, while 68 recoveries at present. Vestmannaeyjar in the south has banned all mass gatherings with more than 10 people while Hunaþing vestra in the North West is the only area on lockdown. Our friends in the Faroe Islands have confirmed 132 cases with 34 recoveries, no deaths and two in hospital. Id say both countries have this under control - Please other countries, start mass testing, it works.

Poland update: We have oficially surpassed 1000 cases. As of March 26th, 1:40pm, 1085 cases of infection and 14 deaths. Online education is now mandatory. Government has declared the ban of mass gatherings with more than 3 people. Supermarkets introduced the customer number limit (maximum being 50) so people wait in queues to just enter the shop. We also have quite a problem with the equipment for hospitals (gloves, masks, etc.). What I heard from my mother who is a nurse in local hospital is that our hospital isn't ready for COVID-19. If any patient with Coronavirus will be treated in this hospital, the equipment will last for 3-4 days of treatment of 1 patient. That is frightening. I'm also really worried of the speed of cases. Just 4 days ago we had half of cases that we have now. I stay at home as much as I can. I only leave when I have to do some grocery shopping. Take care everyone and stay at home. Wash your hands!

Today we recorded our 4th and 5th deaths sadly so there are now 5 in total cases up to 958. Hoping this Uusimaa lockdown is gonna work for us. Otherwise i fear this may explode if we cannot get these relatively fast rising cases under control in any case though, "just" 5 deaths out of almost 1000 cases so far is quite incredible. Fingers crossed it does not get worse over time and ofc that i do not get infected either with my asthma Number of recorded recoveries is still exactly the same so i do not need to mention that

Please other countries, start mass testing, it works. I know that and also Pr. Raoult (the one who worked on hydroxychloroquin), and also WHO, but our government doesn't care and keep testing only people with severe forms of the disease or vulnerable persons with symptoms. Hmmm wait, that's not even true. In retirement homes, they only test the first two patients, after that they consider that everybody with symptoms is infected by coronavirus. And they only count deaths at hospital, not in retirement homes or people who died at home. Too complicated, they said. They promised they would give us some information later about them... Other countries managed to at least count their deaths, even in Italy or Spain, where they are much more numerous. France prefers wasting resources on making and remaking forms.
By the way, complaints (at least five) have been registered against Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, former Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn and current Minister of Health Olivier Véran about their lack of anticipation before the outbreak of the epidemic. Basically, they acted as if the virus would never reach France (or only scattered cases) and they suddenly woke up just before the blockdown. A special court is examining these complaints and will decide if they should be prosecuted and judged. A similar affair occured in the 80s-90s in France because of people contaminated by AIDS after blood transfusions.
And if you wonder why Agnès Buzyn is not Minister of Health anymore, the reason will also surprise you: Agnès Buzyn was designated for being candidate to the office of mayor of Paris. The new Minister arrived on 16th of February, only 9 days before the outbreak. He is a complete beginner for this kind of duty. So the timing was perfect. And the ultimate irony is that the first round of elections for mayors in France took place on 15th of March because a "scientific" committee declared that there was "no risk" (what?) and on 16th of March it was finally announced that the whole country was lockdowned and that the second round of the elections was finally delayed. And will certainly result in a crushing defeat for Agnès Buzyn in Paris, where the current mayor Anne Hidalgo should be re-elected with a slight margin over Rachida Dati.
Poland update: We also have quite a problem with the equipment for hospitals (gloves, masks, etc.).
The optimal strategy seems to group cases in dedicated services of dedicated hospitals. Otherwise you just increase the complexity between contaminated areas and the rest of the hospital and waste equipment (as you said, you would exhaust the stock in a few days even for a single patient, so it seems more logical to send him somewhere where other patients are already hospitalised).
About the increasing number of cases, seeing it doubling every four days during the expansion phase is quite common. It is most of the cases between two and five days. Then the growth rate slows down and the number doubles every seven or eight days, then the number of new daily cases stays at the same level for a few days, then it finally decreases.

I managed to find interesting statistics about coronavirus in France, and we can see that the situation is completely different between the departements. I chose three of them for my comparison: - Bas-Rhin, because this is the most concerned by the epidemic and where the hospitals struggle the most; - Rhône, because this departement has a significant number of cases (Lyon is there) but the situation is still manageable for the hospitals; - Bouches-du-Rhône, where I live and also where the famous institute of Pr. Raoult is located and the only place where hydroxychloroquin is still used at a large scale. All the datas are actualised at 25th of March.
In Bas-Rhin, 1366 people were hospitalised because of coronavirus. 802 are still in hospital (106 in intensive care units), 325 are back home (23.8%) and 239 died (17.5%). In Rhône, 751 people were hospitalised, 570 are still in hospital (116 in intensive care units), 129 are back home (17.2%) and 52 died (6.9%). In Bouches-du-Rhône, 649 people were hospitalised, 376 are still in hospital (82 in intensive care units), 261 are back home (40.2%) and 12 died (1.8%).

That's not good for them imo, considering China has a much larger population + a much more better and advanced public transport network, the fact that the US has surpassed them in cases is not great. Tho I'm not surprised considering the videos I saw of Miami a few days ago Between that and the TikTok folks licking everything I'd call it Darwinism in action, only its likely to not be them who will lose their lives. Seriously though yes, the USA figures are worrying. Easily going to outnumber any other country at the end of this. Any Americans here, especially Seattle/NYC area ones, stay safe and stay home if you can
