The UK/England are predicting to close schools and big gathering areas within the next 7 days as my partner is a teacher and the headteacher there said if the schools closes then all teachers are expected to go into Hospitals and help.
Close the school and make then go directly to the virus. It is scary.

My school will close for the next 2 weeks.
Tomorrow, go to school is optional. I must go beacuse we have in the first break a meeting.
The meeting is about our school trip to London in June.
So, I'll stay in my bedroom surfing the internet 24/7 during these weeks.
I hope don't go to school in July. Mix swimming pool with homework is too bad.

Close the school and make then go directly to the virus. It is scary. That would be silly. Teachers are not medics. They don't know how to take care of sick persons, and moreover, they are NOT used to being in contact with persons infected by contagious diseases, so they would most likely make mistakes, contaminate themselves and spread the virus among the rest of the population. If they are not ALREADY infected, because they are in contact with children, who may have the virus and be completely asymptomatic.

Also Italy seems to have gone into chaos, how do you go into complete quarantine but still get 2,000+ cases in a day? I don't understand. When someone is infected, it takes between 2 and 14 days before the disease appears. Don't expect the amount of new daily cases to decrease before the beginning of next week.
It compares the amount of cases in each province to the population. We can see that in some provinces, this rate is quite high (1 person out of 205 infected in the province of Lodi) but that in most of the provinces, especially in the south, it's still quite low (1 case per thousands or dozens of thousands of people). So the situation is quite similar to what we saw in China, with some provinces that will have hard times but some other that should be okay with the measures that have been introduced. I saw that today, the amount of sick people in Continental China got below 15,000 (below 500 outside of Hubei province, with some great successes: Henan: 1,273 cases, 2 remaining; Jiangxi: 935 cases, 0 remaining; Anhui: 990 cases, 0 remaining).
I also think that the other European countries should be able to manage the crisis. I would not say the same thing about USA. The only hope is that each State takes the decisions that Donald Trump still refuses to take. Maybe he will change his mind if he is infected himself (he was recently in contact with someone who was infected).

They would assisting in the sense of perhaps aftercare and maybe in the children’s wards to free staff for adult patients. I agree the idea is stupid but let’s hope things get better
