This is interesting - Finland goes for a cover of Mireille Mathieu's song, while France goes for Mireille Mathieu doing a cover of someone else... Well that is a random coincidence if i ever saw one here at the same time i actually love this fact

Where do you get all these "old" songs of random casting show participants from? it's from 2002 so not that new and she's not a casting show contestant

FRANCE 22 editions after her last attempt to represent France, she is back, with a new cover! This time the covered song is a monument of French song since it was first recorded by Edith Piaf and became one her most known songs. Non je ne regrette rien (No, I don't regret anything) is among her latest songs, released in 1960, three years before her death. The story is about a girl who is thinking about her past and doesn't regret anything but wants to start a new life with the man she loves. When she heard the song for the first time, she said: "That's me! That's my life!", as her whole life was intense. She also probably thought about her love story with Marcel Cerdan (a famous boxer who died in a plane crash in 1949). That song convinced her to go back on stage despite her illness and also probably saved Olympia (the most famous music hall in Paris, that still exists today) from bankruptcy. The song has been covered multiple times by many artists and inspired many singers but the most natural choice was Mireille Mathieu's version. She is often compared to Piaf, who was her main inspiration. This video is from a live performance in 1986, and Non je ne regrette rien was finally recorded in 1993 in her album Mireille Mathieu Chante Piaf (album that was remade in 2003 and 2012). Mireille Mathieu - Non je ne regrette rienTimeslot: 1:24 Masterpiece! Douze points

My next entry is important to the Slovenian nation. While the song itself has naughty lyrics, the chorus says "Hey hey, who's not jumping isn't Slovene!" These lyrics have stuck with us and became a chant on mostly football matches, but can be other team sports too. The founder of the ensemble passed away last January at the age of 50. Members' offspring have formed their own version of the band in 2010 called Mladi Gamsi (The Young Chamois). Here is my entry from 2001: Gamsi - Hej HejThanks to ferrygraf for suggesting it
