Krokus - Hoodoo Woman
Taken off their 2010 album that was also called "Hoodoo". The song became quite a radio hit in spring of that year. It may be a little flat, but I still hope you'll like it. Btw. I was also thinking about sending something like Celtic Frost, but that'd have been probably a  entry lol. |

Alright, for all of you pop music lovers, here's some Folk Rock for you  Latvian band re:public will make it's debut in WWW contests. And for their debut I've decided to go for a 2004 song, that is a mix of traditional latvian livs song (refrain) and band's original song (verses). That's why there are 2 languages in this song - latvian and finno-ugric/livonian, which is spoken by Livs. If you want to know more about Latvian Livs, who are very close to extinction, then you can read THIS article. 2004 was the most successful year for this band - they won the "Most popular song of 2004" with "Strēlniece" and was pretty much the most popular artist in Latvia that year. And because "Strēlniece" took pretty much all the laurels, other good songs were left in the shadow and didn't get the recognition they deserved, including this song.
