ANNOUNCEMENT
For the upcoming 5th edition of the Resolute Song Festival, I've decided to change the voting format. The voting for the 1st - 4th editions of the festival was just one set of - votes. But now, we're requiring that participants provide two sets of votes this edition, one for jury votes and one for televotes.
We will try this out this edition for the two sets, but before we start this edition, I have to ask all participants to please take a poll as to whether or not they'd prefer to send these votes via forum messages or via Google forms. The poll can be found here.
Thank you all for participating this edition. The first semi-final should be uploaded tomorrow. You may also reply with thoughts/concerns/etc.

I have to admit, that I am a little biased towards this voting system. Like: Based on what shall me make the decision about the second set of votes? I mean like, everybody has their fav. Song but how shall I determine the second I give? X.X

Song but how shall I determine the second I give? X.X what i do normally is rank the songs in order of my preference, and then give out points based on that (like for example, i can give points to 15 songs i like) and then work out the rest backwards from that

Song but how shall I determine the second I give? X.X Well... I tend to just ask a friend to rank songs and give his/her Top 10 as set that as "televote". But I understand that this way the "televote" voting can be unsatisfactory for the "juries". Seeing the "televote" give to the song you hate... ugh... worst feeling ever

^ To everyone, I like to rank out the songs in how I like them, then pretend how the jury and televote would vote for each song, yet still have it add up to satisfy my ranking. Some songs I vote for in jury voting, yet won’t in televote, and vice versa.

I usually vote this way when it comes to giving two sets of votes: my winner is the Jury’s , my runner-up is the televote’s , my third place the Jury’s and so on...

Whats the point in this system though really? Sure it looks more Eurovision like but it makes little sense choosing ones points

Whats the point in this system though really? Sure it looks more Eurovision like but it makes little sense choosing ones points Well you're right, it does look more like Eurovision, but I also think it allows for people to vote for more than 10 songs if they want to vote for more, possibly making a more "accurate" result. But thinking about it, I suppose it would be better suited for an event with a lot of participants. This edition will be a test to see if the voting goes effectively and smoothly, so it's not permanent (yet). I'll probably open a poll after this edition asking which system is preferred and then going off whatever the result is. I did want to try it for at least one edition however, hence this edition.
