Iihya (eng: Revival) is the newly developed music competition that will select 
Libya's entries for the Own Africavision Song Contest. For the first edition, 6 artists and songs have been chosen from a few dozens of submissions sent in to LRT and they will compete against each other in hope to revive the North African country's commonly-regarded lackluster music industry, and most importantly, to claim the opportunity to defend the Libyan colors in 
Guinea Bissau.
The voting system will differ from most OAfSC (and their spinoffs) national selections. Instead of having an international jury, regional televoting will determine the winner. After the Libyan public (aka everyone here) have casted their votes, all received votes will be combined into four groups, each representing one of the four geographical regions in Libya: Tripoli, Benghazi, Jafara and Sabha. Each group's top six will then be converted into one set of points ranging from 
. There will also be an additional fifth set of votes, the mobile voting results, representing the ranking of all combined votes regardless of group/region. After combining the regional and mobile votes, the song with the most points will be declared the winner. In case of a tie for the first place, the results of the mobile vote will take precedence.
