Sad Clowns - Greetings To download, please paste the link here Timeslot: 1:21+ It is a shame that punk music has rarely appeared in the forum contests. Sad Clowns was the first Azerbaijani punk rock band, and "Greetings" is a single from their last album called "Alive", which was released in March 2010

HOST ENTRY FROM FRANCE Welcome to Cannes. As already announced, French entry will be related to a movie, and actually the video is directly coming from an indie movie called Les Jolies Choses (Pretty things) produced in 2001. The song was interpreted by an emerging (at that time) French actress who played the two main roles of the movie, twin sisters with opposite personalities. If I remember well that scene was the last one of the movie, and I won't explain the lyrics because that would spoil you in case of you wanted to watch the movie. That actress with great singing skills is... Marion Cotillard!
The song is called La Fille de Joie. As far as I know, this live version is the only one she recorded.Timeslot: 1:52There is by the way another version of this song, with different lyrics and a different title (Les Jolies Choses) recorded by Axelle Lenoir, the composer of the movie soundtrack.
