The 4th edition of Kaapstad Musiekfees is now over. Three more great acts tried their best to represent our nation and try to bring South Africa back in the Grand Final in Mauritius. Leah, Monark and Heavy K ft. Naak MusiQ all gave their best performances but in the end, the act who'll represent South Africa is...

I provisionally confirm with Madagascar. There are still a lot of countries that have not confirmed or withdrawn yet so I may switch to another country later (even after the confirmation deadline if that is allowed).

MAURITIUS REVEALS ITS HOST ENTRY
Own Africavision Song Contest's current host broadcaster Mauritius Broadcasting Union (MBC) is excited to finally announce which entry will represent their country in home soil. The reveal of the entry was made during the semifinals result show in the sister contest from the Americas.
It will be the group Alchemia who will represent the island on home soil. This duo of siblings Summer and Yahska started their venture into music in 2014. Their music is described as "electro mystic," taking inspiration from trance music and works by notable musicians of Indian descent such as Anoushka Shankar. Those aforementioned elements are apparent in their entry "Pulse," a euphoric and meditative experience that the duo hopes will entrance all of Africa (and the world) as they perform it in their home island. We anticipate that this edition will be fun and festive for everyone who visits our little island paradise.
"Pulse" - Alchemia 3:22+
We hope for Alchemia to represent Mauritius well in such a huge event. We wish them the best of luck!
