Hello and welcome to

Barcelona! Here in this thread you can discuss everything about our 87th Edition!

The submissions officially start now! Deadline: Wednesday, 18th of November @ 22:00 CET!

The rules of the last editions apply, here they are:

IMPORTANT: Confirming isn't enough, just a submitted song guarantees your place in the upcoming edition! Only the first 51 spots are safe, the people submitting afterwards will take part in a Pre-Qualification Round and compete for the 3 remaining spots, making it a field of 54 in the "main competition"! The maximum number of entries so that there is no Pre-Qualification Round is 55.

Already reserved are the hosts, the Top 3 from last edition and those who voted as members in the Rest of The World Jury last edition. If any of these fail to submit an entry in time, the reserved place will be lost.

We're looking forward to receiving your entries!

If you want, you may include a timeslot/recap part in your post; note that 24 seconds of each entry are played in the recap.

If you plan to permanently withdraw or to skip this edition, please let us know as early as possible.

About the artist:

Born Lee Chae-rin in Seoul in February 1991, Chae-rin spent most of her childhood in

Paris,

flagibaraki Tsubaka and

flagtokyo Tokyo. At 13, she moved alone to Paris to study for two years, before joining YG Entertainment at the age of 15. Her first credited work was at the age of 17 in 2008 in

Uhm Jung-hwa's song "DJ". In 2009, she debuted as a member of

flagphillipines

2NE1, where she was a member until their disbandment in 2016. She performed at the closing ceremonies of the Pyeongchang Olympics.

My 70th anniversary in this contest didn't exactly go as planned (thank's to the 4 people, who did vote), so I'm gonna go with something a lot more serious this time. I hope this time I can get more than 4 people voting for me. Plus, I would like to avoid 14th place in the semifinal 3x in a row.

The song I've chosen is a story about a guy, who longs to meet his first love. But the girl, who once lived next door, isn't ready for it. The guy doesn't want to give up and will wait to tell, what he needed to tell back in the day, because he can't forget what they've had in the past. The mimes in the video are playing the roles of memories, that don't want to leave this guy, and are affecting his everyday life. He's hoping, that someday it will again "rain" in his "street" (I hope I don't need to explain, what is meant with "street" because it should be clear).

Ikan Hyu is a duo consisting of Hannah from Zurich and Anisa from Winterthur. They met in 2016 during their studies (music) at the University of Zurich. In 2018 they released their first EP called Zebra. Supernova was part of it and although I wouldn't call it a radio hit, it received quite some airplay. Their debut album is planned for release in 2021.
