BULGARIA'S SONG REVEALED.
SOFIA, 13/2/2021 -- As has become tradition for the delegation, BNT alternated their song selection method by selecting their act internally for  St. Petersburg this edition.
In a statement from BNT: "Due to a pleasant result in Bratislava, we were able to engage an active singer from the competitive singing circuit to take a chance on continuing our North Vision success. General interest from Bulgaria remains low, but viewership in the Grand Final of NVSC 34 tripled over #33. We have to continue bringing fresh music to the European scene, but also be unafraid of taking risks."
As the act had been predetermined, the singer sat down with the delegation in January. From those conversations, a song was chosen from their catalogue.
Without further ado, say hello to...
 Kiril Hadzhiev, who goes by the stage name TINO (Тино), has quite the unique voice. After placing 2nd on The Voice of Bulgaria 2019, he has continued expanding his solo and production career in Bulgaria. Most of his songs are original compositions in Bulgarian, but he aspires to expand internationally. If you were wondering why his dark electro-pop song is titled, "Iskam oshte (Искам още)"! (Bulgarian tr: "I want more"), then watch the music video. It is self-explanatory.
According to their agent, the song was written with the intent of surprising and perhaps even scaring those who had followed his journey on The Voice. "I'm sure you were surprised! And not just you. There is no exact sound I want to work on. I want to create a wide range and to make the music I hear between my ears!" he said in a 2019 interview.

 Charlotte Bridge will sing Late at Night for Luxembourg! In a surprise broadcast on Sunday morning, RTL interrupted its morning news program to present Luxembourg's entry for the forthcoming contest. She is Charlotte Bridge, an Italian-Luxembourgish dream pop project, having moved to Luxembourg in 2014. She will sing Late at Night, a song originally published by her Italian band Talk to Me in 2013, but finally released in her 2019 EP Steps.

 Spanish entry revealed! ¡Entrada española revelada! Who won the inaugural edition of españax? The first ever edition of españax saw a huge success: 54 juries all over Europe and beyond casted their votes to help the decision of the Spanish entry in the 35th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The national selection featured the likes of North Vision veterans Delaporte, María José Llergo who previously competed in numerous Spanish selections, and many more. However, one act defied all odds and placed first with a whopping amount of fifteen 12 points, also known as the highest points a juror can award to an entry. The winner was unbeatable; the act had dominated the scoreboard since the first ever voter. So, without further ado, the first ever winner of españax and therefore getting the chance to wave the Spanish flag in St. Petersburg is the one and only...  Nena Catalina!

Also known as just Zayra, Nena Catalina is a  Puerto Rican (yes, Spain will be sending a Foreign Act this time again,) singer and musician, currently based in Texas. Nena Catalina is the new incarnation of former singer, Zayra Alvarez, where, this time, she embarks in a concept album inspired by the lives lived through generations of the woman in her family and her culture in her birthplace of Puerto Rico. Inspired by the tales of her Great, Great grandmother Catalina, Nena found herself connected to her ancestor through similar experiences, and seeing the pattern that repeated through all the generations that followed. La Chica de la Ventana, is the story of the emotional journey of her life. Raised in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, she attended the University of Puerto Rico, majoring in Industrial Engineering.
After visiting a friend, Alvarez moved to Texas where she became active in the local club scene[10] and signed a record deal with Brando Records. She recorded her debut album Ruleta in Spanish. She wrote and performed all the songs on the album. A few months later, Kevin Lawrie at Sony Norte heard the tracks and signed her to the Miami-based label. Alvarez continued to work in the Latin music scene, getting airplay for her debut single "Hoy" on stations throughout Puerto Rico and the US. Picky Talarico directed the video for "Hoy", which was shot on location in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The program director for Entravision Communications "Super Estrella" network happened upon her while she was performing at the Grove in Los Angeles. The following week "Hoy" was added to the playlist for all of the "Super Estrella" network across the US. She will represent Spain in the North Vision Song Contest, held in Russia. She stated that she's "ecstatic" at an interview, and promised to bring back home a great result in the contest.

JANUS RASMUSSEN FOR THE FAROE ISLANDS  "Neyð" to be the official Faroese entry
KVF has officially announced that the Faroe Islands will be represented by Janus Rasmussen, who previously represented the Faroe Islands as part of BYRTA in the fourteenth edition, placing thirteenth in the Semi-final of the competition. Now Janus will be representing the country by himself with an electronic whopper titled "Neyð" (english: need; emergency). The Faroe Islands are pre-qaulified for the Grand Final of the 35th North Vision Song Contest, held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

La vita è bella  Yukno (pronounced [ju:no], like "you know") are a duo compromised of the two brothers Georg and Nikolaus Nöhrer, living and working in a remote, rural area in Styria. They are the first Styrian act to represent Austria since Soap&Skin (#27). They are using music to express their own growth and explore the melancholic fantasies of today's digitally bound youth. They incorporate the zeitgeist in their work. Experimenting with the conceptual boundaries of sound, they have sought to elaborate upon the imagery that seems to waft out of their songs and within their music videos, which sometimes offer rather intense stories, encouraging a new interpretation with each watch. They have reached popularity not only within Austria, but in neighbouring Germany as well. Additionally, they cooporated with Oehl (#31) and were featured in one of their songs ("Brumm Brumm"). Moscow, we can reveal our representant right now! We have selected the group Moya Mishel to represent the country on home soil! The group contains of lead singer Tatiana Tkachuk and band members Pavlo Shevchuk and Renat Samigullin.  We have looked over the songs that were submitted and we wanted to go a different way then last edition. We chose for a song which Russian haven't send yet or much ofter and we hope to show another side of our music industry. We are really enthousiast about this act and we hope it will show a different side of Russia on the North Vision stage on home soil. After multiple conversations the group has chosen the song "Molody i krasivy" (Молоды и красивы) which in english is Young & Beautiful. We wish them the best of luck in the Grand Final in Saint Petersburg!

Sabrina Čizmo to represent Bosnia&Herzegovina!
BHRT officially announces today, 19 February, the next representative of  Bosnia&Herzegovina for the 35th edition of North Vision Song Contest. Following an internal process in which 96 songs were auditioned and analyzed by the Bosnian singers and songwriters Maya Berović, Dalal, Jala Brat, Ilma Karahmet, Džejla Ramović, Armin Muzaferija and the head of the jury, Zuzi Zu. Bosnian media has been reporting rumored names such as Naida Bešlagić, Rialda or even one of the previous Bosnian representatives, the American singer Melanie Taylor (#20), under her new scene name Muszette, but all the speculations that one of those singers will represent the country have been denied by the head of the national Bosnian jury. However, it was stated that all the rumored singers have actually submitted songs to BHRT, in order to get the ticket to  Saint Petersburg, but eventually were not selected or even shortlisted to the final 10 acts.
The artist who will represent Bosnia&Herzegovina is Sabrina Čizmo. She is a Bosnian pop singer, born Zenica, who moved to Switzerland. Sabrina is new to NVSC experience, as she never participated in the Bosnian national selection, BH Vision. However, she tried two times to submit her songs, Voljela sam gada and Dodir moj, for the internal selection made by BHRT. She was eventually selected as the official representative for the competition hosted in Saint Petersburg, with the song "Dodir moj" (Eng. "My Touch"). She has been collaborating for her official song with the Serbian producers from Grand Production and with the Bosnian Area 7 Entertainment for the video shot in Blidinje Nature Park, Jablanica, Bosnia&Herzegovina.
