North Vision Song Contest 34 • Grand Final Results

What an edition!! This contest never ceases to amaze me, from the amazing work of the council in making it all happen to the incredible diversity in music, I'm so grateful to be able to witness this and be a small part as an associate waking up at 4am to catch the results live was oh so worth it

Look I don't think this particularly surprises anyone, it was never going to light the scoreboard up and I'm pretty sure was my last of the final but it's still cute enough
Also low in my rankings, I preferred "Dumb" by a large margin out of the NF but we were blessed to have a Romanian AQ after so long
Not gonna lie this was kinda robbed, I didn't give it points but had it mid-table because this was a hella strong final, would prefer to see this in the top 20 at least
WELCOME BACK, god this was absolutely the resurgence Latvia needed! Again, no points from me but this final was HARD and I'm just glad to see that streak ended
R O B B E D what the fuck!! This slaps, easily deserved left half as far as I'm concerned but knew it would always be a struggle. Still, a dramatic bop and well deserving of my 3 points
This really grew off me as the edition continued and that seems to be shown with the semi/final disparity. Still a cute song, especially in the recap slot and I think deserved SLIGHTLY better

Also kinda robbed, I was fully expecting to see this in the top 10 and gave it my 1 point so seeing it barely cracking 20th is a massive shocker to me. Ireland is delivering of late and I'm glad to see them back in the final after Meg Mac was snubbed last time
This bangs hard and it's a shame that it did so much worse than their last 2 entrants when it's a better song, but that shows the strength of the edition.
Similar to Spain, I liked this originally but grew off me a lot during the edition, this place is about right for it
God this is such a fun song! Was half expecting it to pull an Estonia #30 and sneak into the top 10 but it wasn't to be this time. Still an amazing entry and well deserving of my 2 points
Honestly this is still cute but it definitely feels old to me at this stage, would maybe put it a touch lower but Bulgaria in the final is always nice to see
WELCOME BACK MARIE-MAI! Comme Avant is my all time favourite French entry so I was over the MOON seeing her in the French NF and from the second it won I knew it would be very high in my rankings the whole way through. This obviously doesn't reach the heights of Comme Avant but still an absolute banger, was incredibly close to being in my top 3 but ultimately 6 points is still incredible in this final
Speaking of my top 3! God Sweden was done dirty this edition, this goes so hard. Was in my top 5 the whole way through the edition and ultimately culminated in me giving it 8 in the final, I listen to this all the time and am so upset to see that of all the songs to NOT break into Sweden's long list of top 10's, this had to be one of them.
Banger, not much more to say than that. No points from me due to the quality of the edition but mid-table is perfect for this and I'm glad it competed
Also a banger but I'm lower on this than most I think, I had this mid-right-hand side so it's slightly overrated for me but still a great entry
It's a good song but it just got so overshadowed in this final, glad it was saved by the televote though because this being in the bottom 3 for most of the jury segments was UGLY

GOD THIS SONG IS SO GOOD! What an absolutely top tier debut this is, it's a gorgeous gorgeous song and as my 11th it was SO close to receiving points from me but this making top 10 is a dream
I don't think I ever quite "got" this, I can see the appeal but it never just quite hit right for me, but Germany is doing absolutely amazing at the moment and it's very great to see
I'll be honest when the full lineup of the edition was first finalised I was CONVINCED we were going to Monaco because this song is absolutely fucking AMAZING. 8th is still a great spot for Monaco but I'd say it deserved AQ, my 7 points and I couldn't be happier about it
To give this credit, I like it so much more in full than in just the recap slot but like Germany I just never got this one. This was in my bottom 5 of the final but am super glad for the country and HoD because this entry has had...tumultuous reception to say the least

I think this snuck up on everyone during the voting unannounced but it's a very deserving AQ, Eivor sweetie keep it up you're doing great
I think I might be one of the very small minority that actually preferred Pame Pame? This is still good and honestly has grown on me a lot recently but I remember when voting I was not super high on this, Greece is DELIVERING results wise lately though and massive props for that
Another B A N G E R here. Monaco was my original pick to win but as the edition continued I really started thinking this was Belgium's to lose, and deservedly so. The fact that this song is from twenty-TWELVE and went unnoticed for so long is astonishing, and I want to say thank you for bringing it to the contest, this was my 4 points and I couldn't be happier with it's placing
Has this song been in a lot of places? Yes. Does that take away from the fact that this song goes the hardest? Definitely not. A brilliant rebound from the little slip Ukraine had the last two editions, I gave this 10 points because it slaps and am very happy to see this AQ once again
What. A. Song. As a queer girl seeing girl in red in DNS was very exciting and god did this deliver. Honestly this might be one of my favourite NVSC entries period, my fav ever Norwegian entry and to see it come so close to winning yet not quite pulling through was heartbreaking. I was ecstatic to give this my 12
Holy shit I did NOT see this coming whatsoever. I remember being scared this wasn't going to make it out of the PQR so to see this winning??? I'm floored, but in the best way possible. This song has continued to grow and grow and grow on me, I gave it 5 when I voted but by the time the results came out I was rooting for this above almost everything else. Easily my favourite Russian entry, just ahead of Milaya #32, as well as an incredible incredible addition to the winner's circle and I am SO happy for the HoD to have finally pulled off a win!!!

Once again semi 2 I- I gave this 12 and it was in my top 5 of the whole edition LMAO that makes 2 in a row for my sf2 12's not qualifying at least it didn't PQR

These going to the PQR is a hate crime

Alright that's enough rambling but once again holy shit thank you for putting on another AMAZING edition, it's such a privilege to be able to view this and it's been such a wonderful escape throughout the mess of 2020 I could not be more grateful for all the work everyone puts into this!
