Deserve last :oop: rap part was meh, the instrumental was interesting but not stand out and kinda flat. Shut Up part of the end of recap made me a lil bit giggles tho lol

This is so catchy, kinda underrated but it turned out she doesn't have a connection with Egypt so kinda ok placement.

Well, this is probably the most controversial result I guess. 0_0 I mean there are songs that should've been here more, but personally I don't mind this got an AQ spot. This is totally iconic like although it's a troll entry, it's not just an normal/standard type of troll imo. I don't regret giving this 4 points sksksksk. anyway, I don't want too see her as a contestant anywhere else again after this because it will be too much. (except MSK winner edition ofc)
An ethnic whopper. It was really hard for me to pick the winner but I gave my 12 points to this because it has the African vibes. Totally deserved.

Did I expected this? No. Am I happy that this won? Totally yes. This song grew on me A LOT, it was my 4th place in SF2 but somehow it my 2nd place of this edition. (Well, I slightly like this more than Mali but that song is more African) Finally, the winner is a country I voted for lol. Also, I'm happy for Adamantios too as he usually doesn't do well in contest.

No words, I have been competing in Own events since 2014 or so with my only victory being in 2015 so I'm beyond happy starting 2021 like that. Thanks everyone who voted for Monark. Glad I changed my mind last minute and included them in the selection, resulting to this really unexpected victory. Can't wait to see you all in South Africa for the 5th edition

Time to riot about the obvious. yeah when I said it’s a winner I was never serious about that, neither did I expect that many people to really vote for it. Like yeah, for its iconicness and the troll that it is, I think it was enough just if it qualified, but seeing it AQ is really too much imo. Gave it 10 in the semi just to boost it but I would obviously give it 0 in the final

Well, I'm indifferent to my own result. I only wanted to send it once I got that AQ privilege. It's a really interesting track that I've wanted to send for a long while now (especially since it almost represented my country in FC). Thank you all for coming together to the sunny paradise of Mauritius! I hope you all had a good time this edition!

HUGE congratulations! Monark is a band I've known for a long time, and "Soldier" happens to be my favorite song of theirs, so it was actually a toss-up between this and the other "South" country for my top marks. I was happy with either winning, but this placing first makes me so so happy. Congratulations!
Hawa Boussim is the the Burkinabé icon. Aminata who? I knew this would do very well, and I was prepared for her to snag a second win, but her track in the first edition was far better imo. Still, slay!
Another track I knew would do well. Congrats!

Probably the one song that is standing out in these results that I consider overrated.

 ... LOL who am I kidding? I'm also . This is a celebration! I am so proud to have given to a song that showed so much pride and patriotism to their country! Outside of that, the song has the most iconic, infectious, memorable lyrics of the edition on top of a catchy, light-hearted tune that left such a huge smile on my face every time I listen to it. I have no regrets voting for this. Congratulations!  "I cannot believe my eyes when I see that AQ for South Sudan!"

I rarely get fond of covers (or significantly sampling a familiar track) in any contest in general, so this result is deserved.
