XIMBALA CONFIRMS
PARTICIPATION!
Published on January 31st, 2021 in Escondido, Ximbala.
Following a satisfactory 22nd place finish achieved by Ambar Lucid with her song "Fantasmas" and record viewing numbers, UNIVISA has confirmed their intention to participate in the upcoming edition of the Fantasia Contest which is set to be held in Taslana. Among other things discussed at a press conference held in Escondido, the broadcaster confirmed that the country would stick to their traditional internal selection method to decide the next entry.
"The country as a whole is still ecstatic about participating in the contest therefore we have no intention to stop in the near future"
- Jmain, head of the Ximbalan delegation at the Fantasia Contest.
Per tradition, the country will again be singing in the national language of Ximbala, Latinican, and has no plans to diverge from this. The internal selection process is already underway and the song will be released soon.
More information will be revealed in due time.

The Levallese national broadcaster, Levalle Brødkorpori (LB) has just officially announced the significant and newsworthy information. It was decided, after the press conference held in the LB's headquarters, that Levalle will permanently withdraw from the contest with no intention of returning to the competition in the future. The taken decision should not be seen as a surprise as the local media have been speculating over the country stepping down from the contest for months. These not-so-shocking rumours actually turned out to be true.
WHY?
Head of the Levallese delegation, who was initially very successful in his management roles decided to make an honest self-assessment and stepped down from the position. There was a massive drop in viewing figures during the last edition's shows that did not pick up towards the end. A record-low 53 thousand people tuned in to the broadcast of the final. For comparison, the broadcaster received their largest audience ever during the nineteenth edition's final, accounting for 57.2% of the Levallese television viewings. The newest poor ratings have not come out of the blue. The interest in taking part in the competition amongst the local artists has massively decreased therefore it is better to bring the curtain down now than watch our participation limping on in agony any longer.
Lastly, the LB spokesperson would like to thank all the artists that represented us in the contest for their efforts in building a path full of successful results.

Due to an ongoing trade war with Taslana, as a result of previous editions, FMST was wary about the safety of Flírsk participants on Taslanan territory.
This is why Flírskmasto announces that it will participate in the Fantasia Contest 24. The delegation has said that they are DYING for a win, they're begging for it. They have decided that they need a STOMPER to bring the trophy back to Flírskmasto, and dolls, do we have it.
