RTI (Radio Television Ivoirienne) announced some days ago that Ivory Coast will be present in the sixth edition of the Own Africavision Song Contest. The next act was internally selected by the broadcaster and it's another duet. Romy Rose will return to the contest after the first edition when she brought the country's best result so far with "Pyromane". This time she'll be accompanied by Congolese singer/rapper Hiro. Together they will wave the Ivorian flag in Mauritius and the song they will perform is none other than...MOLO (Timeslot: 2:25-) Bonne chance!

SAMIRA CENTRO WILL REPRESENT C.A.R. IN MAURITIUS! Bangui, 17 April 2021 - After yet another robbery last time in South Africa, where Boddhi Satva and Zee achieved an amazing 14th place in their semifinal despite trying their best, the broadcaster was thinking of sending the Central African Queen and our only hope Tenny, who would have been the first Central African representative to return to the contest if it wasn't for our next one. Noticed by the broadcaster at the beginning of March, Samira Centro is undoubtedly one of the country's most famous native singers. She sings mainly in Sango and French and will represent her homeland with one of her most recent songs, Mbaba. The broadcaster hopes she will be able to earn enough points to finally qualify to the final for the first time in a year now. The broadcaster, for the first time, also thought about making a replacement video for our entry, since the official one was... Let's just say it wasn't appropriate.

الأصوات التقليدية للمغرب! / Sons traditionnels pour le Maroc! Rabat, 18 April 2021 • We are so proud of our Bilal! In one of the strongest editions to date, he managed to achieve a 9th place in the Grand Final of the Own Africavision Song Contest held in South Africa, placing above Somalia and below Gambia. Now our country really wants to get another spot in the Top 10, maybe even in the Top 6 or higher.
With that ambition in mind, Morocco decided to go back to the roots and opt for a song sung in their national language, Arabic. And who would fit better for this occasion than Manal Benchlikha, better known by her stage name Manal. She is a 27-year-old urban pop singer and songwriter, who rose to national and also international fame with her singles "Taj" (one of the most watched Arabic rap songs by a female rapper) and "Slay" (featuring ElGrandeToto). She is an authentic singer, always staying near her roots and bringing the beautiful Arabic language into the world.
For the upcoming edition, which will lead Morocco's way again to the islands of Mauritius, it was decided that she will sing her latest release in the contest called "Daizo Al-Qawal". A song totally worth the listening due to the traditional sounds and lyrics. Take a listen (unfortunately not available on Spotify)!

Good luck Manal and make us proud! منال بالتوفيق ونفتخر به! Bonne chance Manal et rende-nous fiers!
