Following Sofia’s star turn at last edition's contest in Saint Petersburg, RTBF and VRT launched the campaign to select a Belgian artist and song to represent the country in Italy. The broadcasters staged the fifth edition of the far-famed Belgian selection format - Belfestival which has just come to an end. During the night, international juries and industry experts voted for their favourite performances. Ten acts were vying for their shot to represent Belgium on the Europe’s biggest stage. There could ultimately only be one lucky winner.

RORI Camille Gemoets - who goes by the stage name Rori will represent Belgium at the thirty-sixth edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The singer-songwriter was declared the winner of Belfestival:36 competition on Sunday evening. She emerged victorious from a field of nine other acts. She has already tried to represent her homeland before but did not succeed (placed 2nd with "Gonna Get Mine" and 5th with "Truth Hurts"). We all know what they say - third time's a charm.
Rori's discography is already highly recognized in Wallonia. The singer, who previously worked with Dvtch Noriss was able to reach all major French-language radio stations in Belgium. To take the next step in her career, Rori will now grace the North Vision stage.THE SAME WAY Rori

Tunisia reveals their entry!
After a long internal search, the Tunisian broadcaster has just announced their entry and artist
Prior to confirming their participation, the Tunisian broadcaster worked vigorously to find a suitable entry best fit to represent the country. And now without further ado, the broadcaster is now ready to reveal who has been selected to represent Tunisia in the 36th North Vision Song Contest.

She is Riff Cohen.
The official representative of Tunisia in the 36th edition of the North Vision Song Contest
Riff Cohen is a singer-songwriter, actress, and musician who performs in Hebrew, French and Arabic. Cohen defines her music as a mix of Middle Eastern Urban Rock, North-African folk and Raï, considered representative of the Tzarfokai culture, a slang term in Hebrew used to refer to the Francophone Jews from the Maghreb. Cohen combines her North African heritage and Israeli upbringing to create incredible music that brings people together from all over the Middle East. With family hailing from Algeria and Tunisia, Cohen is passionate about keeping the North African traditions alive as well as connecting people to her heritage through her music.
Singing in a melange of French, Arabic, English and Hebrew, in a style drawing on Raï (Algerian folk music), rock, and Mizrahi music (traditionally performed by Israelis of Jewish descent), Riff Cohen faced backlash in her early career, as she refuses to conform to the trends in Israel. Now, the 36-year-old performer is critically acclaimed as the unvarnished musical embodiment of the cultures she comes from, a heady window into our increasingly multicultural future.

Many notable Italian artists have performed at the PalaCalafiore, from Alessandra Amoroso to Fedez. Despite the arena's capacity being lower than other bids, Reggio Calabria sets itself apart for being the southernmost bid in the competition. With the contest last time being in the north of the country, Reggio Calabria feels as if it's time for the contest to head south. The city acts as a hub for transportation on the Mediterranean Sea.

Acting as an entertainment arena, the PalaLottomatica has had the experience of hosting several major European championships. As a city, Rome hardly needs any introduction. Italy's capital, Rome is in the centre of the country and boasts a history of millennia, from religion to art. Many hotel rooms will be open for fans to come in, with two airports serving the city.

Several bids, such as the Verona Arena, Naples' PalaArgento and Catania's PalaCatania were not blessed enough to advance towards the final stage.

Italy. Having been immersed in music since the young days, when Mammadova attended the Special Secondary Musical School in Baku, increased her interest in participating in various music competitions such as the 
Montreux Jazz Festival or 
Eurovision Song Contest. After previously coming 2nd in layihə: Northvision 31 and bringing the Caucasus country a respectable 15th place in OGAN Second Chance Contest, she came back to the National Selection for her second attempt, this time taking the absolute lead.
